It's a shooter but it's very unique and atmospheric it will be cheap second hand and is underrated. Metro 2033.

 

Then there's the more obvious L.A. Noire if you don't have it already.

 

Batman: Arkham Asylum is very good even if you're not the biggest Batman fan.

 

Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit is fun.

What about LA Noire? If you are Into football (soccer) then FIFA 11 Is a good choice.

 

How about some racing games? ThePinkFloydSound suggested a good racing game which don't personally own but I've played It before and It's really good. Test Drive Unlimited 1 and 2 are really good too.

Any sports game that represents the sport of your preference, they're all pretty brilliant nowadays. NHL, FIFA, NBA 2K11, and so on.

 

For a fan of skating or extreme sports in general, or if you're just looking for a game to f*ck around in, solo or with friends, any Skate.

If you're a skating fanatic, the first Skate should suit you the best, but if you're just interested in playing around in a sandboxish style, I'd suggest the most recent game, Skate 3.

 

Assassin's Creed, Assassin's Creed 2 or Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood. Even if you're not interested in the history of the time period the games take place in (Medieval, Renaissance), you should enjoy the games. Original plot, original gameplay, breath-taking graphics - everything a good game needs.

 

Alan Wake, too. Currently playing through it for the third time. A survivor/horror/thriller game that's highly addictive with an ingenious plot, the game, I think, is a bit underrated. One of the best games of last year.

Yeah, it's really not that hard to remove your credit cards from your Live account. Log into the Live website, click on "Accounts" from the "My Xbox" dropdown menu in the top right of the page.

 

Then click on "Manage Payment Options" under the "Account Information" header. It will then take you to a page that lists your payment methods with the option to either edit or remove.

 

Takes all of 2 minutes, you've just got to use some simple navigation skills. I honestly just discovered this method for this post. I changed my credit card info maybe a week ago on an entirely different microsoft website (billing.microsoft.com).

Doesn't work for me because as soon as I purchased 2 months for $2 from the dashboard, it put Auto-renew on so it renews itself everytime Gold ends therefore not allowing me to remove my credit card, so I have to call them. Motherf*ckers.

 

I called the Australian Xbox number 1800 555 741 and the whole thing was American, and the American dude I was talking to was so much more friendly than the idiots we get here for things such as Sony and various companies. Within 2 minutes I turned off auto-renewal.

Thats why i'm glad MS doesnt outsource all of their customer services...

 

My brother got his GT hacked and called MS and was talking to a real person fairly fast and it was obvious that the employee on the other end knew what he was doing and was knowledgeable with my brother's situation... the only issue is that there isnt a deadline sorta speak for how fast they get a GT back... One guy said 1 to 2 weeks, another said 3-4 weeks.

I understand others liked it, but for me it was ruined by quite a few things. When I first saw it, I was expecting some sort of free-roam type game, but it ended up been a very basic A to B route. The handling was terrible aswell. And some parts of the game were frsutratingly annoying, such as when you suddenly get surrounded by The Taken, with no ammo or anything.

Look man, if you want to get with the 360 crowd you have to play all our fantastic exclusive FPS and other shooters, its what makes us so HARDCORE and elite compared to owners of other wussy hardware.

 

 

 

 

Uhhh, really though the only games i've been enjoying so far on 360 are believe it or not, Banjo-Kazooie and Banjo-Tooie.

Go play Mass Effect 1, then transfer you character to Mass Effect 2.

 

It's an awesome experience.

Crackdown 1 and 2. They are really good sandbox style games.

 

And, the new dashboard coming looks even more stupid than the current one! They keep dumbing everything down to a more simplistic look. I don't like it

The plot might have been a great story and whatnot, but when it came to the gameplay itself, alot of the game was ruined. The fear factor was taken away by the fact it always zoomed into The Taken when they first appeared on the screen, and there wasn't much tactic to it either. If you were surrounded, then you just flare gun them, or Shotgun if you have a few who have been "flashed". That was when you actually had some ammo though, and if you didn't then you were well and truly f*cked, since running did f*ck all, and they still always managed to catch up with you, and the fact you can only run for like 10 seconds is stupid. Dodging their attack was sh*t if you had multiple of The Taken around you, since you dodged one and would get attacked by the other one anyway.

 

Am not comparing this to any other game either, just this game itself.

I only started playing Alan Wake about 2 weeks ago (Only had my xbox for just over a year so i felt i should finally try some exclusives) And i find the story telling and atmosphere incredible! Its insanely creepy at times and its sent shivers down my spine lol!

Not the sort of game i play late at night when noones home

 

But past that i find it a tad boring when your not in a cutscene or reading manuscript pages, its always the same thing over and over, you end up in a forest at night,surrounded by the taken struggling to fend them off

No matter what, the new dashboard actually seems cool. I've liked every single update thus far and I believe I'm pretty much the only person in the world to feel so

I agree with you on this, the game failed to scare with screamers and surprise attack because of the stupid camera, but this may have been intentional if Remedy was trying to emphasize the game being a survival thriller instead of a horror game.

 

The combat was the major let down for me too, the combat parts were repetitive, frustrating and like you said, always dependant on having ammo. However, apart from the combat, I loved the gameplay - the flashlight itself was an original and a creative idea, and the light's reflections and effects on the enviroment were brilliantly done and literally lighted up the importance of the light being a major factor in the game, plot-wise and visually.

 

To summarize, I co-sign the combat being the game's worst aspect, but it's nowhere enough to make me feel disappointed or negative about the game. The level of the plot and the enviroment, and the gameplay in every other aspect than combat goes over the lack of good combat in the game.

Next thing that'll come out is that Youtube only shows the official Microsoft and Xbox channel. It's really not that hard to incorporate a web browser and SEO into a game console. Stupid Microsoft, I feel this Dashboard was very hurried and Microsoft cut corners to get it ready for the deadline.

That new dashboard doesn't look to bad to me, of course it's going to take sometime getting used to as do all dashboard changes. I also agree that the Bing feature is pretty much pointless but Microsoft are pretty reluctant in adding a web browser to the 360 as it puts it pretty much close to a PC, although over time you never know, they could cave in and eventually add one.
