Formatting the drive will delete everything on it (profiles, saves, content etc.). If you only want to delete the gamer profiles on the 360, go to where I said but don't click Y. Instead, just go into the drive by pressing A, then enter Gamer Profiles and select whichever ones you want to delete.

 

Although bear in mind that saves do not work on any profiles other than the profile that they're signed to.

I never got rid of my previous users stuff (just his gamer card) and it kept all of his games and his achievements he unlocked and put them onto my GT. So I just have games listed that I 'own' that I don't actually own.

If he does sell it to me I think I would prefer to wipe everything so I can start fresh and then go from there setting it up to my preferences. What do you think, is £70 a good price for practically a brand new 360? I say that because his original had RROD and this is his replacement which he has hardly used since.

I did the first extreme the other day, wow, they are really hard. I don`t know how many faults I made, but I did get the 250 faults to go warning. Got a nice surprise when it opened up the platinum medals - pretty good reason to go over those easy tracks again

70 quid sounds like a great price to me, especially if it's hardly been used. I take it that price is just for the console & controller, no games etc?

Yes. but you'll need a component (VGA is the technical name i think?) cable. I was in this situation with my last (now bricked) xbox so i know this works. you can still get full HD output i think, as i've been using one and can't notice any difference when i play on a tv using a HDMI. Quite pricey though, cost me like £20 i think.

I'm not 100% but I think so yeah. It worked fine on my 2007(maybe 2008) model fine and continues to work fine with my latest xbox. the older model i had din't ahve any HDMI port so it should work with all types i think.

Does anybody here have a Turtle Beach headset? I'm thinking of buying a better headset in time for MW2 and I've heard that Turtle Beach are very good, but was wondering if anybody had any experience with them and could recommend which version to get.

I can't help you on which model to buy, but I can tell you that a large number of my friends, mostly the ones who take Call of Duty a little too seriously, swear by their Turtle Beachs. I haven't heard of any of them having any trouble with theirs. From what I hear they are the best choice for a relativly cheap, but high quality headset, at least in the UK.

I'm pretty sure it determines your region by the Live Passport you link to your Gamertag, and since I'm pretty sure you can't change the locale on the passport, you'll probably need to make a new account.

 

My 360 RRoD'ed last week. Not wanting to deal with Microsoft Customer support (and considering my 360 is so old it actually isn't covered for the RRoD anymore) I got my sisters friend to fix it. In under a week I'm back in business.

My friend came over today, and my DVD drive decided it didn't wanna read discs. So we played some demos/arcade games, and just as he left, my drive started to work again. Looks like I'm going to have to get a new DVD drive.

Its to stop people from getting them on the cheap from other countries to use on the account they have I suppose. Although I've found most other countries apart from the US and UK have a higher price tag for points/live.

Look on Ebay, you can pick them up for like £7-10 quid. I sold mine for about 13 quid and it still sold.
