Anyone played Burst Limit? I played the demo a few times just now and I must say it is the most fun I've had with a DBZ game ever. The voices don't suck, the graphics are great, and it's fast paced with accurate moves and such. I need to buy it NAOW. biggrin.gif

I can't see anything being done for CoD4 personally, IW have shifted their focus to their new game. It's certainly a possibility for MW2 though, they could use something like a ghillie suit. But they can forget it if they're expecting payment.

Yeah I agree. I'd like to see some MW2 stuff come out, maybe the option for a mohawk like Soap's? biggrin.gif

It's good that the GOW stuff is unlockable rather than having to shell out MS points to buy it, I think they should do that with all of the avatar themed stuff. Not that it really matters in the end, I mean it's only stuff for your avatar right?

MmmMmmm.

Scratch that, I misread your post, as you where saying it in the context as they said they would be unlockable, rather than just speculation.

I still have to say that unlockable would be better.

Who wants COG armour and Locust armour for your avatars?

During the Gearsiverse panel at Comic-Con, Epic's Cliff Bleszinski and Ron Fergusson revealed that there will be Gears of War-themed armor of both the COG and Locust variety coming to XBL Avatars soon. One rule that Microsoft imposes on Avatar clothing and models is that they "can't look inhuman," according to Bleszinski. So they pieced together a workaround set of Locust armor that you can check out beyond the break.

Look for these new Avatar upgrades to be available when the next Xbox Live dashboard update becomes available soon. Meanwhile, we're going to scurry out to our preview builds to see if they're already available. Be sure and peep the Locust image, just around the corner.

A bullsh*t rule about clothing can't look inhuman though. I suppose it would look alright if it was free but in no way am i spending money on it, i'm sure some people would though.

How awesome would a set of Big Daddy armour look though inlove.gif.

How about an officers uniform where new badges are added each time you prestige? That'd be pretty damn awesome.

I'd love a shirt for my avatar saying "I completed GTA4 100% and all I got was this lousy t-shirt."

(Ofc I'd have to get round to collecting that 4% I don't have yet though...)

Just wanted to say that I bought Quantum of Solace for £8 on eBay. Couldn't let a bargain go. I heard it's actually pretty good. Right, Seddo?

Aye you got a good deal at 8 quid, pretty solid singleplayer and i had some good fun playing it. Dipped right into the hardest mode to give me a bit of a challenge as well. Not the typical Bond game with driving levels and gadgets it's just a shooter, it also used the Call of Duty engine so it doesn't look to shabby either.

Online though is a different story, for me i thought there was only 2-3 decent maps. I just played Golden Gun mode the most as i found that if you're good you could earn some credits pretty quick to unlock things...BEWARE though as there are some damn good players on that mode.

Alrighty then, I'll watch out for that, haha.

I noticed that you got Salvation in the end. Rented?

Edit - What's Fallout like? Is it a lot like Oblivion because I did not like that.

My mate asked if i wanted to borrow it so i thought might as well, completed it in around 6 hours on hard, would of been gutted if i paid 40 quid for it lol.

I never played Oblivion but Fallout 3 is amazing, that's a game that would be worth 40 quid.

Has anyone ever had problem with Arcade games? I bought streets of Rage 2 back in 2007, the 360 I bought it on RROD'd on me, so eventually I got another 360. I am able to download the full game of Streets of Rage 2, but whenever I play it it tells me that I have to unlock the full game to do leaderboards, achievements, and to play the full game. I've never changed Xbox Live accounts either.

Has this happened to anyone else?

Well it's got the same Sandbox concept as Oblivion yes. But it's not the same at all. For one in Fallout you have VATS, which allows you to target certain parts on your enemies body to shoot at, you can get higher percentage hit rates as you level up or if you get closer. Also the main difference here is the weapons, Oblivion is very melee, sure you get staffs and bows, but still it's melee a lot. Fallout is mainly shooting things to pieces. Also, the environments are so drastically different, Oblivion is a fantasy realm which is actually mildly safe compared to Fallout which is brutal wasteland filled with murderous people and creatures.

Basically get Fallout, you will not regret it. Complete it then buy the DLC.

Anyone know the exact configuration to using ICS?

I had it working on my other computer, got a new one and now forgot how to set up the IPs to get my xbox connected through my computer.

So far I have my xbox getting connection to the internet but the thing is, my computer loses internet. It doesn't disconnect, it just doesn't let me go on websites and AIM MSN YAHOO all sign out. Anything

IP Settings on computer

Modem 192.168.1.1

Internet

IP 192.168.1.10

Subnet 255.255.255.0

D Gateway 192.168.1.1

Xbox

192.168.1.15

255.255.255.0

192.168.0.1

I think I have the xbox settings wrong, which interferes with it somehow.

Go into Download history and the full game should be there along with everything else you dled and you should be able to redownload it without paying again.

No problems here, I haven't tried any online games, but I've been fine logging in and everything.

There`s no point in having a next-gen console and not having Fallout 3, it`s the ultimate RPG, with intense combat.

I was just playing it before, and got jumped by a Yuo Gai from outta nowhere. I jumped out of my skin, the controller went flying, LOL. Intense.

Am I the only one that didn't like FO:3? I couldn't enjoy the game after I got to the first city with the nuke in the middle. Is it me or am I not giving it enough time to get into it?

I mean, I loved oblivion?

Personally I found both games pretty boring after completing all quests, they didn't really hold any re-playability for me, and the DLC just wasn't worth it for me. I tried the first two DLC packs for F3 and they were just too short for me, took next to no time to complete.

The Oblivion DLC was a bit better, but I only had it because I borrowed the GOTY edition of the game. Easy achievements though.

On the behalf of Fallout 3 and all Fallout 3 players. WHAT THE f*ck ARE YOU ON ABOUT.

How are the dlc's short, they have no timespan, there is infinate replayability in all but one. Boring? what the f*ck. You really must not be playing the game right, to either understand or apriciate such a fine game. And I should know, this is totally not the type of game I would buy but it instantly has become one of the best, if not the best singleplayer games I have ever played in my life.

The sheer ammount of secrets and quests and things to do in the game is just uncomparable to any other game, a game like GTA would never in a million years be able to catch up to the ammount of stuff in fallout. I have played it near every single day straight since I got it 6 months ago and I am still finding new things I never knew about.

You really need that curious factor in your head and a naughty side to want to savour and roam around the amazing game.

If you got bored then you seriously dont know how to play it propperly.

You may now go apply for a new anus via the home office.

Or maybe it just wasn't my type of game.

The game was good, I won't deny that, but after completing the storyline and then all of the side-quests, I just got bored.

As for the DLC, they just didn't add enough extra stuff to do for me, after completing the quests and collecting stuff like the Steel Ingots (for example), I just got bored with it and didn't bother getting any more after The Pitt

As I said, it's most probably just that it wasn't my type of game.

Don't know if it's because I don't use Netflix, but I didn't get into it. I might be in the second wave or something, but I registered with a load of time left so it's not like I entered late.

I never used Netflix, so I'm pretty sure that's not the problem. When did you register? I've registered just an hour after it was announced.

Yeah, I registered very shortly after it was first announced. Plus Major Nelson repeatedly said that they had plenty of room left for the preview, a few days after I had already registered. Ah well, hopefully I'll be in the second wave.

Okay, just updated on my dashboard. The download was fast, but then I had to wait about a minute or so because for some odd reason, the Xbox 360 boot logo was frozen or something. But if that happens, just wait it out, an additional update will appear (at least for me it did).

Now, incase you guys forgot what this update does, let me give you a rundown real quick:

  • Parties - Improved party "reconnections and streamline party invites". This is only avaliable in the US.
  • Account Mangement has been tweaked a bit. There is now an updated "Gold" tab on your gamertag which looks pretty sweet. Gamers can now also see how long you've had Xbox LIVE. There is also Subscription Notifications which notifys you when your LIVE is close to expiring. There is also a faster account recovery process which is always good to hear.
  • Avatars. You can now carry props and buy virtual clothing for your avatar in the "Avatar Marketplace". I'll talk about the marketplace after this list.
  • Netflix has been updated so now you can invite your friends from the party to watch a movie. You can now also add movies to your queue.
  • Various improvements have been made to make it easier for you to see your game in the higher resolution as possible when using an HDMI connection
  • User ratings. This is for DLC, movies, tv shows, and the indie games. Great feature for sure. By the way, it uses the 5 star rating system.
  • Games on Demand, which basically means you can purchase a game through the Game Marketplace and download it directly to your console. Game manuals will also be avaliable when you purchase a game. Flippin' sweet!
  • UI improvements such as the new Achievement Tracking.
  • And finally, some minor changes to console settings. Time stamps now appear in the memory area. This is handy when managing saved games. You can now sort your friends list by activity, gamertag, or online status(default). You just have to press the Y button while you're viewing your friends list in the guide to change the sorting order. (Kind of pointless, but whatever).

Now that we got that out of the way, I'll tell you if the Avatar Marketplace is even worth it. So far, not so much.

So far, only four games are have clothing up for sale and it's the following:

Fable 2

Halo 3

Halo ODST

Monkey Island: SE

(sadly no Call of Duty, oh well, maybe in the future of course).

While some items do look nice, they're to pricey. For example, a Halo RC Warthog costs 320 microsoft points. I don't know how much that equals to, but I'm sure it's more than two dollars. Also, most of the tops and bottoms are recolored shirts which you can have in the free avatar wardrobe. Sure they may have a Halo logo plastered in the center of it, but nonetheless, it's the same thing.

One thing I did realize was that now you can recolor shirts in the free wardrobe. Well, only one shirt for now which is the Power Tee. I'm pretty sure in the future updates, we'll be seeing more shirts that offer recoloring.

Anyways, that's all I can say -- to lazy to write more things about this update.
