My hard drive died due to an E68 error and after removing it and putting it back on (official MS advice) it's now not recognized at all so i assume it's completely broken. I was going to buy a new Xbox 360 anyway, but i need to know will MS replace my DLC? I had about £70 worth of DLC on that hard drive and have been worrying i won't be able to get it back. Will MS be able to check all the items i have bought and do something about it?

All of your DLC purchases are linked to your XBL account. So if you get a new HDD and recover your Gamertag, all you have to do is download the content again, you won't have to pay for it twice.

All of your DLC purchases are linked to your XBL account. So if you get a new HDD and recover your Gamertag, all you have to do is download the content again, you won't have to pay for it twice.

Are you sure, i thought the download history was only stored on the hard drive and only let you get those items on that Xbox 360. So on my new Xbox 360 will my download history be downloaded with my account? If yes that would make me so relived, shame about the save files though i had done over 80 hours on Fallout 3.

I was actually thinking about getting skate2.

It's really fun, but make sure you have a couple of friends. Free Skate is horrible with randoms, and it's always fun to make montages with your friends, even if they turn out no where near as good as your average montage you see on the front page of YouTube.

 

Also, does anyone know how to view your active downloads? Found out how.

Had it and traded it in. I would buy it again but I'm not really that good at FPS' (although I'm a lot better in COD 4 then I am in WaW). Maybe I'll get an old game I missed like Crackdown or something. I was actually thinking about getting skate2.

I'm willing to re-get Crackdown for a third time...it's one of those games that gets boring after you play it, but if you leave it alone for a while it's awesome to give it a shot.

If I do, I might get the paid-for DLC, (with the new guns and that) it looks pretty good.

Have I not requested repair properly? Shall I try again?

 

I dont even know my service request number to see my repair status.

I'd do it again, because after you set up your xbox for repair through xbox.com you get sent the details on what to do through an email you get sent and so on. If you haven't got one then you should do it again.

It's really starting to piss me off now, I've re-tried about 5 times and it doesnt change a thing. Because I have to put the same serial number in it just doesnt recognise, I'm registering a new device for f*cks sake! Is there any way to delete your old request seeing as this one is f*cked up? (ed: I can see the option to cancel request but it's greyed out. Maybe it has worked..) I haven't got any email from MS.

 

I'm thinking of just re-buying a ps2 again.

You sure you inputted all of the numbers and in the right order? I guess if its not working over the internet then you should try ringing them, tell them what happened ( about it cutting off just when you did it the first time ) so now its not working at all. They should be able to just do it over the phone.

Ok I really want to buy SF IV but I've heard nothing but bad things regarding gameplay with the 360 controller. I'm not shelling out money for an Arcade pad, is the 360 controller really that bad for this game. Last time I've played a streetfighter game properly was on SNES.

The d pad is poor, don't even bother with it. The analogue is alright once you get used to it, but obviously nowhere near the precision of a decent pad or arcade stick.

That's what I expected. I don't know if I can get used to playing streetfighter with the analog. 360's d pad has always been crap but it's really the only way I play fighters.

I've never had to use MS helpline for my repair service. So I really don't know which number to use, sorry.

i think you have to stay on the line and it puts you through to someone allthough i did wait ages once then got cut off and had to ring back.

 

the number should be in one of the manuals that came with your 360!

I think it looks pretty nice. And I don't know about New Zeland, but that controller is available here for about sixty bucks (comes with a plug-n-play battery pack, too).

This sh*t just happened to me a week ago, I used the towel trick on it twice, and so far it's been good, but it is obviously loud and lags a bit. I'm going to have to send it in to microsoft so they can fix this piece of crap.

Yeah I know. What I mean is, it's being called the Resident Evil 5 Limited Edition console which makes it sound like it would have some form of distinctive characteristic related to RE5, but the only difference is just a re-colour to red. Might just be me, just find it odd to name it that way

For the guy two posts above, I suggest calling the Xbox 360 tech support line, that way you can organise for the whol console shipping and stuff. They shouldn't charge you bcause its 3 red rings and they're so far as I know and instant swap for a new console now.

I think the could have embossed a 5 on the top side of it (if it was laying down), you know like on the main logo, and i think the controller looks ok, not sure if they are gonna be sold separately in the UK, but it would be nice if they did, i could do with a 2nd one.
