Oh yeah that Dorito's Dinosaur game thing is alright, easiest 200 points I ever got. Seriously 200 in about 20 minutes.

I was thinking about going out and getting me a new Mic for my 360 but since it's still hectic I gues sit can wait a little bit longer.

I'd go to the sales, but I'm trying to save money being as I don't have much. By the way, does anyone have a 24 hour Live code, or whatever they are? I've completed the storyline in COD5 and want to see if the online play is any good.

Yes! Yesterday when I went to gamestop to pick up COD 4 me and my friends were literally standing at the back of the line in the doorway while people were trying to get in and out.

Yeah, I'm more of a fan of Rock Band also, personally. Shame I don't have enough money for either.

Digital Murders

Well, my 360 is officially a glorified paper weight. I was watching a DVD when it froze about an hour in. So I turned the console off and turned it back on and low and behold, I got the three f*ckin' lights.

My girlfriend said she had a problem with the 360 a few days ago when she was playing left 4 dead. She said the game froze and then a few green lines and patches appeared on the screen. I was just playing Bioshock last night and it was working fine.

I've only had mine for a year and it's an elite. I keep it clean, it's in a good area...but I suppose all that sh*t doesn't really matter. I have the warranty for it and I've already made the steps to ship it off to M$, but it still pisses me off.

Anyone know if any stores like Radio Shack or Best Buy or Circuit City repair Xbox 360's? Mine got the 3 red lights too, the day I bought an Xbox 360 wireless network adapter and was gonna get Xbox live...

I tried dealing with the retarded motherf*ckers at MS, and I really only want to send my 360 to them as a last resort. I'm willing to pay someone at a store to take a look at it.

It's really the best to deal with the retards. I know it sucks, but they're the only people you should trust with your system. If you have the red ring of death, it really isn't that hard, just go to xbox.com (this way you don't deal with microsoft, just their computers) register for repair, and you should have a box shipped to you within two weeks. It's not that bad, but the whole process usually takes a month to get your system back, which is lame. Still, it's free.

You'll have to pay for replacement parts, etc, if you give it to someone else (that is if you can find someone to do it, which I'm sure will be a big hassle in itself).

I was playing Favle II until Fallout 3 came out. Now I'm addicted to fallout and Fable is being put to shame in my box of games.

Fable II is a 1700s style in a place that somewhat resembles England. Get this game if you enjoy "Ye old Skool" feeling. It also feels like your in the revolutionary war or around that time and place.

Fallout is an intense, war-zone like game. Throughout the game you will feel like your in the game, and there are numerous intense moments. You'll be battling things ranging from Crazy robots to 20ft tall Super-Mutants. I would give this game a ten out of ten.

Since I beat fallout, I haven't touched it since. Replayability just isn't there for me right now. Allthough I said the same for Oblivion and have played through that f*cker more times then I can count. First on the pc, with mods of all kinds, then when I got my 360.

Well, I would agree with you, but I can't because I seem to have kind of screwed myself over. I never registered my 360 when I first got it, I can't find the receipt for it, and I don't think I bought an extended warranty. So I'm pretty sure I don't have a warranty on it, and I don't know how to check if I do have a warranty since MS probably won't have any records because I never registered my Xbox and I don't have the receipt. I do have the serial number for my Xbox, and I also saved the original box it came in because it has a bunch of numbers and bar codes on it too. I suppose I could still work with MS despite all these setbacks and send in my Xbox, but I doubt I could get it fixed for free since I probably don't have a warranty.

I actually do know someone who knows about circuits and electronics and all that, and I'm sure that they would be able to identify the problem if I let them open up my Xbox. The problem is that if my Xbox has some serious damage and needs replacement parts, the person I know wouldn't be able to fix it. I'm sure he'd know how to fix it, but I doubt he has spare Xbox parts laying around. He'd only be able to fix it if the problem was just something needed to be re-soldered or something. So that's why I was wondering if Circuit City or some place like that could repair my Xbox.

I've also gone to the MS website. I went to the "online console repair" place, and it said I had to log in to my Windows Live account before I go further. I didn't have a Windows Live account, so I signed up for Windows Live, logged into it, and then it brought me to the Xbox Live sign up page! What the hell? Do I really gotta sign up for all this sh*t before they fix my 360? Why the hell would I have to sign up for Xbox Live when I have a broken Xbox? So I didn't sign up for Xbox Live, and didn't try to get any further in the repair process. Those dumbasses at MS have got to be sh*tting me. I'm having doubts that I will be able to get through the repair process, because their "repair process" is leading me to places that don't have a damn thing to do with getting my Xbox repaired.

You sign into Xbox.com with the email you registered with when you made your 360 Gamertag. And obviously your password. Then go through the online repair through the website. Alot easier than calling up Xbox. Also, you have a 3 year automatic warranty if your 360 gets the RROD. I know you do, since my 360 was second hand and eventually got it. Sent it off free of charge and got it back within a week or so, and a free month of live as well.

same here i didnt do the warranty when i got my 360 but a year and a half after i brought my 360 it RRoD, first thing i did was ring Microsoft.

I said to them my warranty wasnt active! they did it all over the phone (quite strange if i remeber correctly they asked for my consoles serial and knew roughly when i brought it) sent the shipping docs to my e-mail witch you print out and put on your parcel (they ask you not to send it back in the original 360 box) and thats that the only thing you have to do then is ring UPS for a pick up (when i rang they were there to collect within the hour) .

Your best bet would be to activate your xboxlive silver account that comes with your 360 its free and then you can view the status of your console online, allthough they do send confirmation e-mails to you when they recieve it and when they ship it back.

I didnt find this process stressful at all, i dont get why so many people have trouble i would class MS customer service as one of the best i have come across.

Draw conclusions, bud. You were obviously just lucky. So far, MS has been one of the worst groups of dumbasses I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. There is a complete lack of guidance throughout the whole repair process. They just push you through a barrage of completely unnecessary signups without any explanations. And by the time you actually get to the part where you send your Xbox in to them, you don't even feel comfortable sending it in because you just signed up for a bunch of sh*t for reasons unknown to you, you still don't have a f*cking clue what the situation is with your warranty and the registration of your Xbox, you aren't sure what or where to check for the status of the repair, you want to get some answers from another human but you can't because the people at customer support are f*cking useless, and you're just plain pissed off because the Xbox 360 is such an unreliable piece of sh*t and broke down even though you took excellent care of it. confused.gif

You know. All of those things you just said about how you don't know whats going on, or the fact you have to sign up for a lot of stuff doesn't really make much sense. For one, you don't have to sign up for anything from when I got mine repaired. Like I said, the only thing you do on Xbox.com to sign in is use the email you registered you're Gamertag with, and the password. Simple as. Then you go through the online repair system which from what I remember again, all you have to do is input the Xbox serial code into the right area press a button and it will set up your warranty since if you get RROD and you have no warranty like I did you still get covered.

Once you've got your little sticker thing printed out from your email about where to ship your Xbox off to and put everything into the box then you can always look up the status of your repair via the Xbox.com website, or the UPS website being as they email you when they recived your Xbox and stuff.

I have to sign up for Windows Live and then I have to create an Xbox Live account before it will let me start the repair process. Maybe things have changed since you had your Xbox repaired, or maybe you already had a Windows Live account and an Xbox Live account at the time. It doesn't make a difference. The bottom line is that I am being pushed through a bunch of signups, and I don't understand why. Why can't I just give them my e-mail address, type in my Xbox's serial code, and print out the f*cking shipping label so I can send the piece of sh*t off to Microsoft? Why the f*ck do I gotta sign up for Windows Live and then sign up for Xbox Live, while my f*cking Xbox is broken, to start the repair process?

I sure as hell hope that they give me some more info after I sign up for Xbox Live, because once the repair process is started, I won't know if I should check my e-mail, my Windows Live account, or my Xbox Live account to find out about my warranty and my Xbox's status.

You have an Xbox which is obvious. Doesn't that mean you've made an Xbox 360 Gamertag when you got your Xbox and started playing on it?

No, I didn't, because I don't have Xbox Live. I don't think a Gamertag is necessary if you don't have Xbox Live.

Well no wonder they asked you to sign up for stuff! You can't mail your 360 out without having a gamertag to register your 360. And even if you don't have Live, its still a good way to keep track of your achievements that you got playing any game you have. And if you want to add friends to talk to while your on the 360 its good to have a gamertag.

Is there any news on backwards compatibility? It's been over a year since the last update and there's still a load of good games that you can't play.

I can't believe Barbie: Horse Adventures is on the list and The Warriors isn't.

Sorry nothing new with the updates. I'm still waiting for NBA street Vol.2 to get on the list, as for Barbie... who's gonna be playing that on the 360?
