Godfather 1 & 2 are two great games imo,  that sadly never made it.   Need to find a good used 360 to play them.

I have had my Xbox 360 S for over 10 years.  Purchased it in a shop called Harvey Norman in January 2012.  4GB model that came with an extra controller and a copy of FM4 for just under €200.

I dont use my 360 alot. How do you update the firmware?

pretty simple unplug all of the cables, move the console from its current location and put it in your garden, waqit for it to rain. and hey presto its updated!

seriously connect to live and it should do it, buy the official xbox magazine that should have the software update onit, or i think some games will have it included on disk.

Seems that my desk is not the best spot for my 360, I just noticed yesterday the heat it puts off is gone when I put it on the TV cabinet (Not my TV though, I use PC monitor) would a large plastic box that has computer parts in it be good enough for it? (Trying to keep it in a clear spot so it doesn't over heat).

Got both my consoled back on Saturday and they gave me a free month of Gold per console. Pretty quick turnaround from them. Was most impressed.

So I got the box to ship my 360 to be repaired on Thursday. I still haven't brought it to UPS to ship, but I plan on doing it tomorrow.

 

I'm wondering how that'll go. I already wrote down the tracking number like instructed, and I need to get a shipping receipt. I really hope I don't get a charge sprung on me when I go down there.

 

Then, I'm worried about having to sign for the thing when, and if, it comes back repaired. I'm at school during the day and no one's home to sign. And after 3 attempts, they return the package back to the shipper, which will leave me f*cked. I heard I have to call my local UPS store, and just ask them to hold the package for personal pick-up.

I got my 360 back from being repaired about 4 months ago and the first thing that happened when I turned it on was that I got the E74 error. I tried turning it on again and it was fine. I was worried at the time, but it works perfectly, despite the fact that I still get E74 sporadically... I have a weird problem where the machine doesn't boot up when I turn it on, 3/5 times I get a black screen, 1/5 I get the E74 and 1/5 it actually turns on. Haha... oh well, it works.

Got the E74 about 20 minutes ago while trying to play Fifa 09 (before the Man U / Liverpool match on Be-a-pro, f*ckin' sh*t). Oh well, time to fire up WoW again while I wait, I guess.

 

When I get the package, do I ship the HDD as well, or do I keep it?

Right, thought so.

 

My console didn't live long at all. Not even a year old (manufactured January this year) and I didn't even play all that much.

I got that update. It looks loads better than the blades on the old 360 menu. I didnt notice alot of difference in loading times after installing Skate, maybe its better with other games? And I only have 20GB Im going to need a bigger HDD.

Anyone got any good game recommendations for a girlfriend?

 

My girlfriend wants some 360 games for Christmas. She likes her Halo 3, I'm getting her Fable 2 because she wants that but she's by no means a hardcore gamer haha. I tried to think back to some more casual 360 games but couldn't really think of any. Any suggestions would be great. tounge.gif

Yeah, before I updated to the leaked dashboard, I could see Moving Pictures. Thought about downloading some tracks but realized that I had no MS points.

 

Though, that was in RB2, so I don't know if it's a problem with RB or not. Unless you're using RB2, in which case, I dunno.

eg. what's the difference between an elite and a pro? other than it's black. Because I can get a 60GB pro with three sh*tty games for 399Au which seems like a pretty good deal, or should I just wait for the christmas rush.

Not to mention, you are most likely on the American Marketplace/Rock Band Store, Trows is on the Australian Marketplace/Rock Band Store.

 

I didn't find Moving Pictures when I browsed through either, so I'd suggest checking the Marketplace under the Rock Band category to see if it hasn't been updated to the store yet. If not, unfortunately we will have to wait.

 

Damnit, I want my YYZ. Australia, getting screwed over. Again. turn.gif

MS has always banned modified consoles from accessing Xbox Live, as it violates the Terms of Service. It is simple, if you want to play games online or access any additional downloadable content, you have to have a standard Xbox.

To me it looks like they'll ban consoles around the Christmas period which then will get plenty of banned users going out to buy news 360's which then bumps up their sales up quite dramatically over the Christmas period making them look better than their rivals.
