Ok, I just ripped[/i] pulled apart a launch controller, you know the ones with the shiny plastic underside instead of a matte finish like the rest of the controller.

 

Anyhow, if anyone else is looking to open their controller for whatever fangled reason, you'll need a TORX T8H. The H stands for Hollow, as it needs to be for you to be able to actually line up with the screw and unscrew it. Make sure it is a hollow, my dad wasted a fair bit of money getting the wrong screwdrivers.

 

I'll try and get some pictures up of it opened on the weekend for those interested.

 

One last thing, the Guide button's LED's are f*ckING SMALL!

Does anyone know if GTA3 works on the 360? If I was to buy it as the old Xbox game, will it work?

pretty sure as I played GTA:SA on it, I'll go check.

 

EDIT: Well it doesn't say GTA3, but it has the trilogy on there. I'd say it would work.

Seeing as its just at the start, and you not have much weapos, I'd suggest sticking to the shotgun and use the electric bullets if you have them. My first Big Daddy was rock solid, but you get used to their attack patterns. Try dodge his charges aswell. When you get to the rivet gun firing Big Daddy you WILL need some help. God it was so annoying for me.

I downloaded the demo, and I must say its atrocious. Could just be the demo, but the controls are horrible and the graphics on the people look to plasticy. Its overall really fiddly.

I've started playing Team Fortress 2 again yesterday, and I had forget how much fun that little game was. Any tips on getting the "Sentry Gunner" achievement? I can't play as the engineer, I always die/get my sentry killed. And there's no f*cking way to get the "...With friends like these" one. I haven't gotten the sentry achievement yet but it's easy to get close. I just love playing 2Fort and playing my turret down by the intelligence in a corner so when the enemy comes, they get f*cked.

 

It also couldn't hurt to make a dispenser behind/beside your turret and standing on top of the turret or behind it. This way if a spy comes in to sap you, you can sit there with your wrench and repair the turret as he's doing it.

 

And so he either keeps sapping and wasting time (meanwhile you call your teammates down and let them know there's a spy at the intelligence) or he takes the intelligence and gets shot to sh*t

Well my 360 is f*cked. I was playing CoD4 with Manofpeace, SpraynardKrudger, and Pat when the game got these weird black scan lines. This only was happening in the match and nowhere else. So I though, 'Oh must be a dirty disc.' So I took out the game, wiped it off and put it back in. Then I turned it off then on. Boom! One red ring and an E 74 error message. The strange thing is Spray had the same scan lines thing and did not get the Red light. So now I have to fix the problem myself, or cough up $100 bucks because one red ring is not covered by M$'s 3 year warranty.

The X360 exclusives are very good, but I must say this; it heavily depends on your tastes.

 

Theres The Halo series, The Gears of War series (on pc, but you know), Crackdown, Saints Row, Table Tennis, Mass Effect (kindof), Bioshock (sortof), the Project Gotham Racing series, Dead Rising, and many others.

 

Like I said above though, the type of exclusive games on the 360 are completely different to the PS3's, there's all sorts of different exclusive games on it. For example; you couldn't compare Resistance Fall of Man to either Halo or Gears of War, because even if they seem similar, they are just very, very different sorts of games.

 

Seeing you said you're worried about quality rather than quantity though, I can say you probably will be pleased with certain games, such as Bioshock for example. (even if that is on pc as well. )

So i opened it up and fixed it myself. Done the X-Clamp Fix.

Since fixing it ive actually noticed my 360 doesnt get as hot as it did.

Thats impossible, all 360 are covered by the 3 year warranty, because it hasen't been out for 3 years yet.

This games f*cking hard by the way, I'm stuck at like the 5th stage of the Tower game or whatever, and I just can't get by it. I use a mixture of 4 characters; Nightmare, Astaroth, Algol, and Cervantes. I hate trying out other characters, cause then I gotta spend a while learning the moves.

 

But this game is kickass anyway.

Stupid question, but are you signing up, Blood? I don't recall ever playing a game with you since adding you to my friendlist, and it would be kind of funny for that deathrace competition to be our first game together. Just need to find a damn charger for my headset, I'm rationing what little battery power I have left. I might have to use my old headset, which is missing the foam cover for the ear piece.

If I'm not mistaken that's a DVD drive error, so you'll have to pay a fee for Microsoft to fix it or you can try and replace it yourself.

 

I got one of those but the error went away next time I fired my 360 up, no problems since then what so ever.

Woops, just did a quick google.

 

 

E74: There is high chance it's a scaler chip problem (the "ANA" or "HANA" chip near the AV cable connection) it can also be caused by a faulty AV cable so check that first. In some cases it is a problem with the GPU and may be repairable by doing the x-clamp replacement (see error 0102)

 

So yeah, could be something as small as a faulty cable, or something completely wrong with the GPU. Good luck.

Complete Arcade with Yoda to unlock him. He's kickass when you unlock him and learn his moves, use him alot to get money by doing story. You can ring people out in seconds using just his grapple. Cheap but who cares.

 

Tower of Souls is quite hard at times, just need to find a few characters you know how to use properly, button mashing gets you nowhere during harder fights. I used Apprentice, Yun Seong, Mitsurugi and Kilik for most fights. Ascending isn't hard once you unlock Decending. You have to choose 2 characters and you have to survive 20 levels. f*ck that.

Too Human is supposed to be released in a couple of weeks. It's a 360 exclusive, supposed to be the beginning of a trilogy. I haven't heard alot of talk about it though so maybe it would be better to wait a bit and see what the reviews are like.

I thought the Too Human demo sucked pretty hard. There is a long list of potentially better games dropping this fall, so it's definitely on the back burner for me.
