Steve Crook Posted September 16, 2007 Share Posted September 16, 2007 I was on level 12 of the Firefighter mission, I had put out the fires of 3 of the 4 vehicles and extinguished all of their occupants. I was just getting close to the 4th with over 5 minutes on the clock - and it blew up! That killed the occupants and ended the mission. How annoying. But why did it blow up so early? As I said, there was plenty of time on the clock. I did notice another car right behind it (which subsequently caught fire and blew up). Could it be that this other car kept hitting the car on fire and that made it blow up? Has that happened to anyone else? Steve Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

For me, sometimes the occupants of the vehicle get thrown a good distance away due to the force of the water jet, putting them out of range of the water jet no matter how hard I try. That's really annoying. But keep driving it forwards and turn it in the direction that would right it if you're just leaning that way (i.e. if it's on its right side, turn to the right) and with any luck it'll be back on its wheels before it starts to burn. I was doing mission Madd Dogg's Rhymes and when I attacked the guard walking around the pool I missed the stealth kill so just kept stabbing at him. But seriously, I am amazed you didn't realize that only a few characters except CJ can swim.....like Catalina for instance and only at certain times. A few others can like Ceasar too. If so, that's a problem. Do not do firefighter missions during the riot because cars unexpectedly blow up. that probably happened in your case. Do not do firefighter missions during the riot because cars unexpectedly blow up. that probably happened in your case.
