I collected 1600 rounds for the mingun, modded a Clover (stored in The Johnson House garage), then my game locked-up (froze) as I was heading back toward Mulholland to save the game;

so I did eveything all over again.

I think I'll take End of the Line. What's the territory situation (I guess I'm about to find out)? If it's quite a bit less than 100% do we want to continue afterwards to get all of them?

Well, since we are moving on to a much different save for the next round, I just like to thank pdescobar for such a great save to play on. I've really enjoyed the additions and modifications you made to the saves. Also, thanks for letting me borrow all of my favorite features to include in the next round.

 

And congratulations to everyone on another 100% game. I hope to see you in the next round.

I have a question about modding as it relates to the chain game rules. It's been difficult to play recently because my files have been scrambled a bit while I crafted the save for the next round, but now I need to start putting things back in order.

 

I rearranged the order of the vehicles listed in certain car groups. It turns out that the Phoenix, Euros, and Tornado are included on the list of common cars, but the groups they are in are too full, so they never get to appear. I changed the order of the list, but didn't add or remove any vehicles, and now I see these rare vehicles fairly regularly on the streets. I like having the vehicles spawn more often, so I'm not sure I want to change them back to the original order, but this might seem to violate the spirit of the game.

 

Until just recently, I've always be a bit of a purist as far as game mods are concerned, so I'm not sure how to distinguish which modifications are considered normal an not worth mentioning to other chain gamers. So anyway, I need a question... What is the spirit and intent of the no-modding standard?

To me, the line should be drawn at things which (a) significantly impact gameplay and/or (b) could have lingering effects beyond your turn.

 

Editing the ar_stats so that you get faster weapon/vehicle skill upgrades, for example, violates both guidelines. As for ped/vehicle spawn changes, it's more of a gray area. Making the Grove gang cars FBI Ranchers and Tanks to me violates the spirit of the rules as it is a significant change which can be easily exploited, but having the Euros and Phoenix spawn more often has a much smaller impact and wouldn't bother me.

Congratulations on yet another 100% everyone. I regret not being able to play much this round, but I will definately try to play more next round.
