I obtained the Uniquely colored Stretch (with the black bottom half) from the mission and stored it in the Santa Maria garage. Since I didn't need to fail the mission in order to obtain it, I figured what the heck.

 

I increased ammo for the minigun.

 

Also, not to knock how C.J.'s dressed now, but I really liked P.D.'s choice in clothing from the previous saved-games. It added some flavor to the game. xmas.gif

Thanks girishb, that would've been true of the old save, pdescobar took the barriers away for this round, I think it'll be ok for a V2 player to do Yay Ka-Boom Boom but a V1 player should check for barriers just to be sure.

@rudy_eilabouni: Welcome to the Chain Game. I'm glad that you are interested in being a part of the Chain Game, but I presume that you haven't read the rules properly. NO CHEATS!

And since you used cheats, your turn will be nullified. However, you can take a turn anytime, ofcourse without cheats, not withstanding the 3-Mission Wait Rule.

 

@radicell: In case any previous player has used cheats, that turn isn't considered an official turn and is nullified.

Unfortunately, your turn also has to be nullified since the stats have been ruined by cheats.

However, as compensation, you can take a turn anytime not withstanding the 3-Mission Wait Rule.

It should be clear that cheating isn't allowed, - but the current save also have 5 hospital visits and several more safehouse visits than turns.

 

Imho. the not busted, wasted and 1 safehouse visit pr. turn should be enforced, - let the players who (think they can) take monster turns work for it.

The safehouse visits stat isn't that bad, so the 1 safehouse visit per turn rule can be relaxed.

However, getting busted or wasted is definitely not encouraged. This is mentioned quite clearly in the rules.

 

So, let me quote the rules again.

1. Do NOT save the game if you get busted.

2. Do NOT save the game if you get wasted.

 

There's no point in going back to the save without the wasted and busted stats. Let's just continue with the current save and see to it that those stats don't increase further.

And...oh yes, if John has other plans, we'll go with him.

agreed.

There are several of us that go out of their way to keep those stats at zero.

I’ve always restarted whenever I got wasted or busted, that’s why my turns will sometimes take the entire 3 hours, because I restarted after getting wasted.

 

I’m still going to keep my safehouse visits to 1 per turn, that’s still a challenge for me: seeing how many things I can do in one shot.

I'm not necessarily endorsing "3 hr. turns". If I get busted, wasted or fails during multiple odd-jobs, I simply reload and settle for something less.

What I meant was that this is a chaingame: If you need to visit a safehouse then you should relinquish your turn.

Each player can play the way they're most comfortable. 4-star wanted level stuff & most all other exploits are encouraged & if you just want to do a mission, that's fine. I think the Suggestions state something like 'Try to keep the safe house visits minimal'.

Just don't save after getting busted or wasted.

I'm not going to comment on the emphasis of "perfect stats" in general so as not to get sidetracked; I do understand it's important for some people and I'm willing to go along for the most part. In terms of chain game rules, not allowing wasted/busted is perfectly fine with me and even not allowing unintentional mission failures I can grudgingly agree with, however...

 

 

What I meant was that this is a chaingame: If you need to visit a safehouse then you should relinquish your turn.

That, I simply can't agree with. I used to run SA on a very-low memory laptop, and I now run it on a much nicer computer but one with Vista installed. SA has never been stable for me and probably never will be. Without mid-turn saves, every crash means I have to either start from scratch or forfeit my turn. I'm glad "minimal safe house visits" is only a suggestion, because if an actual 1 save per turn rule was implemented, participation would no longer be fun for me, and I'd probably no longer take chain game turns and just play on my own. I like taking long turns doing multiple things and when I do that, I'm going to want to save in-between. If you want to challenge yourself and always keep your turns to only 1 save, more power to you, just please don't make me play that way because I won't.

 

 

That said, I'll call a turn. (And I will probably save 2 or 3 times.)

busted / wasted / safe house visits

I agree with JAJ & pdescobar (...and I'm still running it on a sh*tty laptop...). Also, we've had this discussion a few rounds back and it was agreed upon to keep the busted and wasted stats at 0 but to be a bit more relaxed about save house visits. Players are supposed to keep them low, but it's not a strict one-save-per-turn policy.

I checked the saves & found that the Hospital visits started while doing some of the Catalina missions & a few were added since. I don't think that we should go all the way back to the Catalina missions just to remove them from the stats.

Yes, I know who made the visits but I'm not going to report that here because it's already done & will not remove them from the stats. Let's just not save after getting wasted or busted. So yeah, let's just continue with the current save & it's stats.

I checked the saves & found that the Hospital visits started while doing some of the Catalina missions & a few were added since. I don't think that we should go all the way back to the Catalina missions just to remove them from the stats.
