I just read the released roster for wwe 2008 and finally THQ has answered my prayers and put sabu in the game. other ECW originals joining sabu are sandman, tommy dreamer, mick foley, and terry funk.

it seems this year's game will be ECW based. becuase of the more hardcore weapons, match types, ECW arenas, and ECW originals

i remember the sabu vs. terry funk barbwire match

or stairway to hell, or the great RVD and sabu matches, or mike awesome power bombing people out of the ring and threw tables, i remember how great the dudleys were.

i not saying the new ECW is good, as a matter of fact i hate it but i like the WWE video games because there not like the TV show.

I played SVR 2007 and that was pretty good and nice graphics aswell. I have seen some screenshots of the new game somewhere a while ago but i can't remeber where now.

 

Still there won't be that many changes from the last edition but i'll still end up getting the game.

It won't be ECW themed, but it will be the first in the series to feature ECW as a brand to go along with SmackDown and RAW, and Chris Benoit has been completely removed from the game altogether unfortunately.

But anyway, I never played the '07 one for more than a minute or two at GameStop. I'm most likely not going to play this one either because I don't watch wrestling anymore but I used to always get every Smackdown! game that came out up until SvR '06. I just rented that one and beat it. I doubt I'll be getting this one either and I probably won't even play it.

Thanks for the update on this mate, had been looking at pictures and information recently and did wonder when the superstar count down IGN does annually would start again for this edition of the game series.

 

Graphics look very good, I wasn’t a fan of the new control scheme introduced in the last game but I didn’t own it and rarely played it. Time practiced with this will get me into it I’m sure, infact I‘m so impressed from what I have read so far I will probably get it on release rather than late December.

i loved revenge too.

it was my favorite wrestling game before no mercy

but the bad thing about revenge was that you could beak the pin by moving the stick on the controller, it made me mad because i could never beat my brother.

I think the first Wrestling game i played was WWF Attitude on the Playstation 1, where you had to pause the game so you could see your wrestlers finisher button combo lol.

First real 'good' wrestling game was Attitude. SDVR and 06 sucked beyond compare. I didn't even buy 07, but maybe I'll give 08 a try for PS3.

 

Nothing beats Wrestlemania 2000, No Mercy and HCTP though, ever.
