TenaciousD.
What's the best way to get the savefile and screenshot to you? (I'm asking in advance because I don't want to get into trouble tomorrow! ) PM either of them with the uplaoded screen and the uploaded gamesave. I used IsaraPix for the screen and FileFront for the save. Also, worked brilliantly. No problems at all. Well done.
PatrickW
You can send it either to me or to Dutchy3010. Upload the screen/savefile to any service you want, and pm it to one of us.
MyMothersMySister
Yeah yeah... Easy thee bubba. Not being interested in the comp and only posting here to be an arse will end up with you being punted. Sign me up. I will most likely miss first stages but will be around for the duration. Plus the Zaibatsu are short on numbers it would seem. Great work Dutchy and Patrick. Messiah To The Animals #Cyclop9
Lioshenka
Tried your demo-mission, and liked it. I would like to sign up, but only if the areas in next add-ons will be bigger and money will be hidden better, because that one was too easy Why do we have to collect pick-ups in the particular order??? Seems pretty useless once you have given us the order of collecting them
Dutchy3010
You have to collect them in the particular order, because else you can do the missions on your own. This way, you have to wait before we give you another code, so we can have rounds. Once you passed a round, you can't go further until we posted another code. I don't know if you think the next round is more difficult, but I do know that there is one more attractive search mission and one who looks like the example mission. But thank you for the compliments Edited September 20, 2007 by Dutchy3010 DYOM - Create, play, share!

Seems pretty useless once you have given us the order of collecting them You can be assured that the objectives in the real rounds will be much harder. This one was a very small area with most pickups in plain sight. It was just meant to get a feel for the contest dynamics and to check wether the software has been installed correctly. The order in which you pickup the objects in the factory, determines wether or not a round is started and which round is started. There are 9 objects, which means that there are 362880 possible sequences of picking them up. Only 8 of them actually start a round, one of them being the sequence for the Introduction round that we gave. The other 7 round sequences, are the best kept secrets of the netherlands at the moment. These are publicized at the start of each round. In addition to these round sequence, there is one more testmode-sequence, that some of you might already have run into. If you pickup the objects in the exact order in which they are positioned.( eg just run over the line of objects) will trigger the testmode. There you will be placed on groove street for 60 seconds, you will get a save screen and afterwards be beamed up to the factory again. This is included, to let use test the savegames that are submitted. Edited September 20, 2007 by PatrickW

Hollaz
I still dont really got it... it worked, but do you have to search in order? Like Cone first, then $, then Card... btw, should you send the "test" savefile? Great work guys, i really liked the "Oh yeah, you're the man!" Like Cone first, then $, then Card...btw, should you send the "test" savefile? Great work guys, i really liked the "Oh yeah, you're the man!" No sending the test savefile is not needed. Most important thing is that you have been able to run this round. A description of what you'll have to search will be presented at the start of each individual round, and when the first round starts we will present a schedule with the start-dates of the 7 rounds, and we will also describe a "bonus" objective where you can spent hours on, during the time inbetween the rounds. crazyanurag
I tested it on my friend's PC last night. Now I'm back home without a SA disc. Crap. I might just go out and buy one, though. PatrickW
3pm CET? when is that in GMT? That was a timezone mixup mistake, we made earlier... It should be: CET : 9:00 pm GMT: 8:00 pm EST: 3:00 pm As far as I know :$.. At least the Amstardam(CET) time of 9:00 pm is correct. If there's an error in the other two due to Timezone conversions, please report them I've Added EST, GMT and CET times to the first post. PatrickW
It's seems that my timezone conversion skill's aren't what they used to be. I think Daylight Saving time is messing things up... My latest guess is that the time of this message should be approx: 1:03 pm GMT 8:03 am EST Can Someone please confirm me the the time of this posting in EST and GMT timezone ? PatrickW
Sorry for doublepost, but do TreasureHunt have an IRC channel? No, there isn't. And I guess considering the kind of contest this is, that an irc channel might not be appropriate.

PatrickW
Okay.. then i will scrap my creations... We'll my point is, that this contest is most fun for everybody, when you'll have to find all stuff by yourself, the personal satisfaction of finding stuff. I'm hoping that this is why most people will join the contest. And on such an IRC channel there will always be people who like to spoil the fun for others by giving away locations. But is people have other ideas why this might be a good idea, please discuss Edited September 21, 2007 by PatrickW

I think that'll keep people straight.
TenaciousD.
Got a suggestion from PatrickW last night, I PMd him the save and screen anyway. He said I should post a tutorial now how to send across the necessary stuff, so here it is.. Uploading the screen: First off, you will need to PM either PatrickW or Dutchy3010. Then you will need to upload your screenshot. It should look like this with the MISSION PASSED message: To get it online you will need to go to a site like IsaraPix. Just browse for your saved screen. When it is selected, click Upload. When it has uploaded you will get this: You need to copy the BB Code for Forums(1). Paste it into the PM. Uploading GameSave: To upload the gamesave you will need a site that allows B files (Whats SA gamesaves are) The best one I know of it FileFront. If you are not registered you will need an account. It is quick and easy to register. When you are logged in click Add File on the left side of the page, then browse for your gamesave, it will be in your GTA San Andreas Userfiles which will be located in My Documents. Each save is called GTASAsf1 with the 1 going from 1 to 9. You will need to upload the corrosponding file to whichever slot the save is in. Once uploaded, click View Files up the top, you will get a list of the files you have uploaded. Click the gamesave. Then copy the link in the address bar and paste in the PM. From there, you're all set.

TheTank
TD, what about using GTA Save'n'Play, that they use in Mission Help to transfer save files? Much easier and much faster, IMO.
