Oliverkahn987
When I first played my game on my new HP laptop with vista and played to the first save, I got this error message. Save Failed! There was an error while saving the current game. Please check your save game directory and try again. Can anyone help me please find a solution for this problem.... Justin
Consult the pinned posting requirements and try the usual Vista fixes including Windows 98 compatibility mode. [EDIT] ffs don't post duplicate topics. Ring_of_Fire
Make sure to right-click the San Andreas executable and "Run As Administrator". Also, try to reinstall the game on a administrative Windows Vista account and select the "For me only" user option (default is "Anyone that uses this computer" - I think). You cannot save if someone installed the game on a different account. You need to use theirs if you want to load and save. This is why it is recommended that you install on only 1 Vista account! Normally loading people have issues with. I am surprised that I am dealing with a saving problem. VCHolmes
If you installed the game for all users, the saves should be in 'C:\Users\Public'. Or if you installed the game only for one user, check that user's documents folder. There should be another folder in there called 'GTA San Andreas User Files'. Its created while installing the game. If its not there create it yourself. Did you download the game or something? And Vista cannot emulate Windows XP SP2 compatibility very well. Choose Windows 98 instead.
