This is called 'ninja defuse'. Has anyone tried or heard about this before? I think it is awesome, and I have done it before. It was sweet.

Do them all the time.. It's a trend that's from PC gaming. Much more impressive when you actually do it in a proper 5v5 match. Got one in the first ever CoD4 match I played, haha.

True. If they can't see you in the first place, there's no risk of them killing you anyway.

Does anyone play the story anymore?

 

I got frustrated as hell playing yesterday, if there's one thing I f*cking loathe about COD, it's the respawning enemy. I have to make my way into a house, or into some building, cover a certain amount of ground in order to stop the "Infinity Soldiers", that's what I call them, and that's ridiculous.

 

It really kills any hope of realism these games could have for me.

Probably going to buy this game for my 360 after work today.

 

I've been playing it a lot lately at my friend's house (split-screen) but haven't even touched Live yet. Looks like I'll have to start anew at the first rank. Any tips for beginners of online play, other than avoid using the n00btube?

Make use of juggernaut. Yes we often berate the people that use it but the people we are referring to a people who have been playing the game for a considerable amount of time. Use it until you unlock a better second perk such as UAV jammer.

Use the M16 and MP5 often. Once you unlock classes (level four), use the RPD. For sniping, I would suggest the M21. Low recoil, and you can easily make two or three shots before the target moves. The M4021 is also good, but I've found that it takes just as much shots to take someone down, and it's much slower with much more recoil. You can join Kevin, Luke and I when we do our every-so-often party matches.

 

Anyway, Strike is now my favorite map for Domination. At the back of the map, is a two-story house. Behind that is an alleyway, and that's where Charlie (the flag) is: right by the stairs of the two-story house. Now, across the alley is a little indentation in the wall, which is partly blocked by a dumpster. So, it's kind of like this:

So, I lay prone halfway beside the dumpster, and I can take anyone out that goes near the flag. I only died once, and it was because I ran out of ammo, so I grenaded myself.

Well, I ended up having to reinstall Windows because of all the blue screens I was getting. Finally managed to get my games/patches installed and I tried out the new maps tonight, full graphics on a 9600GT. I think the new maps look amazing, detail is just brilliant. Here's some screenshots I took;

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I love Killhouse, Creek is a bit too big for my liking so I suppose I'll have to go on bigger servers if I want to play on that map. Broadcast is fun too, not got the hang of Chinatown yet, its too dark lol.

I find Chinatown and Broadcast to be my preferred maps (out of the new ones); I've yet to try Killhouse and Creek feels too big. It's almost as if you're exposed too much of the time. Probably my favourite "looking" map, though.

I'm running it on high as well and can say that they look even better full screen as when you upload them they inevitably lose some of their detail.

Headquarters used to be my favorite mode, and I still enjoy it (having all the action in one place is never a bad thing), so that's fine with me.

Alright sounds cool. Right now, my custom classes are specifically tailored to Headquarters, but they can all work on other modes. I love being in the 40's now, because I just unlocked dead silence, and I'm debating whether to switch out the increased damage perk for UAV silence or keeping it on my stealth class.

That's f*cking insane, seeing as the best game I've ever done was where I got my kill streak as well.

 

45 kills, and 24 kill streak.
