Creek is the only new map that is worthwhile. Killzone is f*cking lame, China Town is a campfest and the TV Station place is okay. Not worth buying.

I disagree, you have no chance on creek unless you snipe. Broadcast is my favourite, the confined hallways and out-in-the-open car park gives it a balanced element for every player. China town is indeed a camp fest and killhouse is to small for any skilled playing, you just get kills from someone walking past you.

That was only for the weekend the maps came out, and it was only for those 3.

The double XP was said to be for the weekend but when me and a friend were playing the new maps online yesterday we were getting double the points for kills (20) and double for assists (4). We had a game of domination on the new maps and got 30 points instead of the normal 15 if you capture an individual flag.

 

I’ve only played Broadcast and Creek so far. Like both of them, Broadcast as it’s from the single player and Creek as it’s so big. I was getting lost in it! You can snipe on it but I’ve found you have to keep moving your sniping positions as you can be caught out otherwise.

I love Creek. By far my best map out of the new ones. I was averaging like 7/2 kill/death ration playing S&D there last night. I also love Chinatown, my group I always play with have torn that level apart and it defineately gives the ole' shottie a work out.

 

Broadcast I'm still wary about, I'm not that good at it and I always get busted up, although on TDM I found a sweet spot that I can run up about a 5:1 K/D ratio while working.

 

Killhouse is also pretty fun with small number. Three friends of mine and me were in there doing hardcore pistols only S&D. It actually was pretty intense. Last stand is a bitch on that level though.

Ah the gold AK is good. The gold M60 isn't the best LMG, but it's usable.

After about 4 or 5 days of playing CoD4 on XBL I have reached something like level 28 or so. Now don't get me wrong, I love the game and all, but how the hell would some of you f*ckers have the patience to get 10th level prestige. Thats just silly. I can't camp or snipe to save my life because of my damn impatience and ADD like intolerance to staying in one spot for more then 10 seconds. Also, that juggernaut pisses me off. If I shoot you in the face 7 times with an AK, MP5, or M16 and you are still able to turn around and shoot back, thats just pushing it.

Me and a friend were playing online last night and came into a lobby with 2 players on their 10th and final prestige! Had to slate them for having no life what so ever and how they spent way to much on here. But to top it off, these so called “elite” players both had Juggernaut on!

 

Personally I think with a future COD update (if any are planned) that Juggernaut and Last Stand should only work up to level 10, after that you shouldn’t be able to select it.

Agreed. I haven't even reached Level 55 yet. I will not be doing prestige thats for sure.

I think when you'd enter prestige 5 or something, maybe 3, there should be one less perk. And then when you reach 7 or 5, one less perk again, and then level 7 or 10, no more perks.

 

Then you could call yourself an elite player.

 

Also, I just got the new map pack for ps3, however, after I d/l'ed and installed, it still says in game in the find game thingy, that I don't have the pack.

You seem to have no idea what you're on about. Prestige doesn't mean nothing, just means you've been playing it for longer.

 

If you take out Juggernaut you will need to take out Stopping Power, seeings Juggernaut only cancels out Stopping Power.

 

And if you take out Last Stand, what will it be next. Martydom, Claymores; heck why not every single perk.

 

I myself are 10th prestige lv.55, so I do have a little knowlegde of what i'm talking about.

I use juggernaut so when I face up one on one I can get the kill.

 

I hate when people bitch about the perks and weapons in the game. If it's so overpowering then use it to even things out. Just because there is a strategy in load outs and your load out loses to another is not a reason to bitch that the game is flawed.

Yeah and if you read carefully you would have seen that's what I said, players on their 10th prestige have been playing it a lot.

The thing I hate the most about people using Juggernaut is the fact that you don't know they're using it, so If you're storming a building or moving rapidly and you come across a enemy, you usaully just fire a couple of well-placed shots and move on to some cover, unless they have Juggernaut in which case they have an easy kill as you run off oblivous to the fact that they're still alive.

I decided to "bite the bullet" and start prestige. I had just unlocked the golden AK-47 but whilst doing the challenges for my sniper rifles there was a weird error in my stats that prevented me getting any more headshots using the R700, once I got to 75 it got stuck there and except for one match the blue tiger skin wouldnt unlock.

 

That and the fact it was double XP on the new maps!

I've been playing it alot recently over the past few weeks, currently Lvl 44 2nd prestige. I'm pretty much a sniper all the time unless on a CQ map like Wetwork, Shipment or Vacant. I was inlove with the M40A3 and unlocked the red tiger camo for it, gutted to find out that it can't even be seen on it, looks normal. That annoyed me a bit so now I'm using the M21.

 

Well, I won't be playing once I get IV.

To be honest, you don't know as much as you'd like to think. Try playing on PC, and then try playing a match - Perks are fine for fun, but they're removed for any competitive play ('cept Stopping Power and Bandolier). Why? 'Cos they're f*cking imba.

 

Prestige does mean nothing, by the way. I'm pretty sure a day of playing and I'd be better than the vast majority.

I loved this game before my box red-ringed, now that I have it back, it doesn't seem as fun, a lot more people are camping with snipers, has anyone else noticed this trend lately?
