Don't get an ACOG scope, they suck.

Depends on the weapon, and the map. I, myself, use an M16 with an ACOG scope quite often, and I can't see myself ever giving it up for any of the other attachments.

Since the map-pack for PS3 was delayed there's little question that I'll be passing it up. I was ready to buy it when I heard 'Early April' originally, but they can go f*ck themselves now.

Finally got some MS points to get the map pack. I've played a little of creek at my friends house and it is sweet.

Personally Creek is one of my least preferred maps. I much prefer Overgrown to it. Maybe I just need to get used to it a little more. From then Chinatown comes in second and Broadcast has to be my favourite. Absolutely love it. Although I'm yet to play Killzone or whatever its called.

 

But yeah definitely worth the money.

Lots of people complain about Creek but I like it. Once you've got overkill an m16w/ ACOG and a sniper is a pretty badass combo....especially on Creek. But I agree that ACOGs aren't for every gun.

 

The other day some tool was running around with an mp5 w/ ACOG. Picked it up having only a DE left on me..... and this was on Broadcast.

I just played the single greatest round of CoD I'll ever play.

 

It was on that shipment map, and instead of going silent, I stormed with the M4 w/ red dot, and I owned.

Got a 41 9 score at the end. Only 600 something XP though.

Speaking of bragging, the other day I did good like that and the highlight of that day is when I had an airstrike for me after dying and as I was looking where to put it I realised the whole team were together and I killed at least 7 of them because I called a chopper straight after and didn't get to use the air strike again because I got 7 kills so quickly and it felt so good but then the other team took my chopper down but still got some kills with it so it was good.

I've seen worse. I was on Pipeline, running through the underground tunnels (great places to hide in there to catch unsuspecting victims), and I found a P90 with an ACOG Scope. I sh*t you not. Why in the world would you put an ACOG on a P90?

 

I don't see why you did an M16/ACOG + Sniper combo though. The M16/ACOG is enough to snipe on its own. Trust me, I know this from past experience.

 

So, still no video of Creek? Can someone at least give a picture of the map that you see when you pause, and describe some of the little places to hide in and explore (I'll admit it, whenever I go for a game like CoD4 or games like Syphon Filter, the first thing I do is look for little places to explore)? I honestly couldn't care less about the other maps. And another question, what's this Killhouse I've been hearing about? Didn't the pack only come with three (Broadcast, Chinatown, Creek) maps?

My killstreak is in the mid twenties somewhere, but that's because I rarely call in my helicopter when I get it. I wait until I die, then call it in.

 

That way it will help get you a UAV, airstrike and another chopper.

I’ve had a few “gripes” with COD lately. Not enough for me to change my mind on what a great game it is both single player and multiplayer but there are a few little things are starting to annoy me.

 

• When you join a lobby of other gamers the setting level loads with a countdown till the beginning. You have the chance to vote to skip and if enough vote to do so another map loads. Why is it if you don’t vote to skip one map the second that loads wont give you that option?

 

• Claymores. These seem worse since the update with them being close to useless. Myself and friends use them to cover entrance points for good sniping points. As recent as yesterday we have had enemies jump over them, walk past them slow, crawl up to them and even regular walking pace without them going off in all the mentioned occasions. What is going on?

Creek is awesome, I gotta say, on the mountain, someone can litterally walk RIGHT past you, if you're prone and in a ghille suit. I love hiding, staying completely still, then rising and blowing someone's head off with my shotgun, or silenced pistol.

Will using the perks stopping power and deep impact make the shots more powerful and piercing in terms of the environment and what the bullet will go through?

I'm having alot of trouble with the mission after "all ghillied up" (sp?), I've taken cpt. MacMilan to the ferris wheel, took up a position actaully on the ferris wheel, right where you get in the carages, and can't hold back all the terrorists, there's too many of them. I actaully held them off long enough to see "black bird" land and I whent to get MacMilan got blown up by a car on the way back to the chinook. Anyone got any better sniper positions?

I stayed kinda close to him, and kinda lay down and hoped for the best. I suggest you get the ones coming towards you first. And watch out when your scoping because I had a couple come up to the sides of me. And when you see the chopper land just grab him and look for a way to get to it without getting to much fire at you when leaving. I think I ran behind the ferris wheel and just went for it.
