Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare

Single player is awesome so far. Multiplayer is pretty lame IMO.

The only lame part about the CoD4 multiplayer is that all the people that have been hammering the game since it came out have all the decent weapon upgrades like the ACOG scope, every time i die, it's always by someone with that and since i'm pretty new to the multiplayer i have no weapon upgrades yet so i'm starting off at a bit of a disadvantage.

 

Other than that though, this game is awesome online.

I got that scope, I keep on holding down shift to steady it but that scope doesn't have the option to do that so it brings down my sights to start sprinting.

 

I guess I just need to warm up to it, it's quite a difference from CoD2.

I personally enjoyed hiding in the small shed in Overgrown, I had a Benelli M4 and someones dropped M21 and I was getting consistant headshots on people sprinting in the distance with it, then to drop it and use the benelli to unload 12 gauge into peoples faces.

 

Then I sent down an airstrike and literally got around 8 people with one airstrike.

it seems to fit with the controls, every button typically has a use/function.

and i've made it to the rank of Brigadier general I

So im playing it quite a bit since it's release.

 

im really digging the whole knifing people in the back.

oh the perks are pretty interesting as well

SPOILERS AHEAD PROBABLY.

 

Holy sh*t. That was epic, brilliant storyline, great gameplay and so much fun. Thats like the first time I have ever sat down and completed a game so fast. I was just glued to it, brilliant.

 

Whoever made Ghilles In The Mist needs to go and make his own game, that was amazing. Beautiful even. I didn't even notice MacMillan was in the grass next to me at the start. So well hidden. The whole mission was well done, from running past everyone, sneaking under trucks to sniping everyone at the end, great mission.

 

The ending was really good. When that guy slid a pistol across the floor to you and you had to kill Zakhaev and the two blokes, I had shivers going down my spine. Brilliant.

 

And lol at the credits, when SSgt. Griggs was rapping, didn't realise it was him untill after a while.

 

10/10. Best game I have played in a LONG time.

I've just this very moment completed the game and what an awesome game it was, the game had tension excitement and fear and is easily the best game of 2007 miles better than Halo 3.

 

No time to get my arsed kicked on veteran difficulty.

Seriously that mission is almost impossible. I developed a few strategies but it never works. One time i almost made it but the guys who were flashed were blocking the door and i finally got past them sprinted to the white door but.......

Do they always know where you are like in all the other ones? Like if im in a gillies suit and in grass if they look in the area im in will they automatically see me?

Nope. If you are hidden in tall grass in ghilles it is f*cking hard to see that you are there. Theres a whole mission where you are sneaking around in the suit.

Awesome game. Just finished Mile High Club on veteran (after many tries). All ghillied up was a fantastic mission, too.

Looking forward to trying out the multiplayer when my legal version arrives tomorrow.

Actually it's the first console FPS I can say that I REALLY, TRULY, ABSOLUTELY enjoy. That's saying a lot. I never thought I would get into a console FPS like this.

 

I really gotta get my kill/death ratio up though. I played for about two hours and it's down to 0.76 or something around that. I guess I just need to familiarize myself with the maps more. I was a bit of a sitting duck on "Overgrown". I like the desert/middle eastern maps more.

f*cking amazing game; I bought it for the PC yesterday and I am loving every single moment. Usually with these type of games I get bored of the campaign mode as in the case of Call of Duty 2 - (After playing it through once it kinda lost its appeal to me), however though with CoD4 I just want to play it through time and time again!

 

Just everything about it is excellent - The intensity and excitement is paramount and not to mention the graphics. Every time I do play through I do get tense, always looking round the corners for that terrorist threat. Of course, the music adds to it as it changes when there's an enemy attack or what have you.

 

Honestly, never before have I experienced a game that leaves my hair standing on end and wanting more from it. Never enjoyed a video game more than this one. A truly awesome piece of genius this! Game of the f*cking year - full stop.

That's a good combo. CoD4 will satisfy your online needs for a looong time and Assassin's Creed will make up for CoD4's short single player campaign.

I would have prefered it if your character died and at least one of the 3 survived to pop them all in a special cutscene.

Well I played quite a bit of multiplayer today and I don't wanna brag but...I'm pwning. I'm pretty much always #1 on my team. A solid 30+ kills every round in TDM. I don't get it. I've never been this good at an online console FPS. Does everyone just suck or...what's going on? I expected to be practicing forever to get good but...I'm dominating. Not complaining, it's awesome, but I'm surprised.
