Just some news I'd like to share.

 

I bet you've wondered what 'Prestige Mode' (Unlocked at level 55) is, Well, IMO it's quite stupid, but it's basically, when you reach 55, or 65 whatever, you get the option to enter Prestige Mode, this will remove EVERYTHING you unlocked and have you start over from scratch at Rank 1, and you can do it over and over again up to 10 times, and all you get is a 'Prestige Icon' for each run.

 

Quite stupid, isn't it.

I just got the feeling we'll end up with dozens of little kids claiming to be better than you because they've got 10 Prestige Icons when you've only got, say 2.

 

Point is, if you're good enough to get to Level 65 once, you're good enough to do it 10 times.

 

And I quite often use psychology in my games, and if the person I'm facing fears me because I have 10 Prestige Icons, he's just a retard.

People used to reset their rank in Lost Planet when they hit level 99. They didn't get a purdy little icon. Just job satisfaction of spanking the higher levels who thought they were in for an easy ride.

And I hope you mean just the ranks, as fair enough I can speed through that sh*t easy.

 

But f*ck the hell off if I have to go through all the challenges again.

 

1,2 or 3 even but 10 times, resetting all unlocks for all guns all challenges completed, thats just bullsh*t, they cant think of a decent thing just to put in instead.

 

Its like earning your way to the top, pissing it all away for NOTHING, not even an achivement just a crappy c*nt icon. May as well be Chevy Chase.

 

And I dont want to reset crap, but it would be good to have that large ammount of points to try and attain, but I dont want anyone to mistake me for a sh*t player.

Played the PC demo, and it was pretty underwhelming. Sure it was fun but it was also incredibly short. Barely over 20 minutes of playtime, and for some reason it lagged to hell when an enemy got near me. It runs pretty well when there's 30 guys shooting at me, but the second one gets without a metre of me it just drops to around 5 fps, 2 people and it drops to around 2 fps. What the hell?

Aye, of course it will.. Whilst it is the same series, it's a completely different method of play and an utterly alternative setting compared to the previous 2 [or 4 if you include the sh*tty Treyarch developed] games.

Because, I don't have none, A friend over XBL told me, he got one of them friends & family codes back in the beginning of the Beta ( Only FRIENDS & FAMILY MEMBERS of INFINITY WARD got this. ) .

 

You'll just have to wait until the game comes out, and then you'll see.

 

Oh, and he mentioned that IW talks about the prestige mode in some interview, if my memory is correct, he said it was on Gametrailers.

I heard about this, that the 25th or 26th of October the Beta would be open to test who the loyal Beta testers were, and those would have their stats carried over to the full game.

Well, if you remember, if you tried to enter the demo before, it would give you a 'The Beta for Call of Duty 4 has ended ' sign, which does not happen now.

It completely slipped off my radar that this game comes out in a couple of days. I'm still getting it, but I'll probably add it to my Christmas list. This game looks really solid and we all now the team behind Call of Duty haven't butchered the series yet, so this only means more great installments of the series - or at least for now. I'm just glad they finally dropped that stupid World War II trend. Man... was that overkill or what?
