LMAO, i woudn't even be able to run the demo as the recomended specs are touching the limits of my PC. If i can't even run the demo then i have no chance on earth running the full game.

Lucky sh*te, I can't even run it on Minimum specs... well maybe I could, depending on if my Graphics card doesn't throw a fit (min Radeon9800, mine 9700, tight as a nuns chuff)

 

That's why I hate Call of Duty 4, because it makes me realise my computer is now eventually at the ar*e end of minimum specs for games now, and I can't afford an upgrade... bo**cks.

this game is the best optimized game that i played this year.(after september releases)

£666 got me the following:

 

 

All of those parts are pretty good, too.. The case isn't a necessity at all for the 'average' person, you could get a suitable one for £25 or so. Removing the extra little things like the card reader, Bluetooth dongle, USB stick and delivery to Northern Ireland would make it cheaper too. Even still, it's not pocket change at all (and I only got it as I had to, my old PC fried), but PC components have come down in price even over here in the UK.

 

Plus, the demo rocks.

Got the chance to play through the demo...

Awesome... though it keeps crashing fairly randomly on my PC (sometimes it crashes right before I even reach the menu).

 

The level seems pretty long actually... and very fast-paced.

The demo I got f*cked up everything I had running at the time of installing, FF, WMP,xfire,msn all crashed on me while installing the game. and there's a bug which doesn't let you change graphical settings with Xfire open, it just f**cking crashes it back to desktop!.

 

and I don't have a bad PC either

 

that said, the gameplay is awesome, and the graphics on low look awesome. I have still to change the settings myself.

 

also why do i get this when I use the aim down the sight mode:

Just tried the demo on my PC. Maximum detail @ 1680x1050 res with x4 AA. Runs like a f*cking dream, but that's probably because of the specs:

 

Intel Quad Core @ 2.40Ghz

4gb Ram

768mb 8800GTX

IW/AV wanted to do something different for each platform – X360 got the beta, we got the demo, and PS3 gets sh*te all. I may have faulty informations, though, 360'll probably end up with a demo at some point.

 

 

Demo is fantastic, if a little boring and repetitive (in typical CoD SP style, of course) – can't wait for this.

That demo kicks some major ass, and it's only a small portion of the single-player mode. I can't even begin to imagine how fun multiplayer will be. November 6th won't come soon enough.

i finally managed to play the demo but i didn't have fun i was having a lot of fun while playing moh-airborne but i didn't enjoy this. yes i'll buy it but i'm definitly sure that i'll not get the taste that i got from cod 1,2 (couldn't play 3 as it didn't come out for pc)

maybe it's because the demo,the level that we saw might be the worst level of the game of course i don't have to judge the game with a 10 minute gameplay

I always thought that this could be a problem, the change from old to modern. I personally think it's a good change, if CoD4 was made like CoD2, it would just get boring, it's time to move on I think.

Funny is that I can play the game with 40-50 fps at 1280x1024 with "quite" a few thingies switched on in WinXP while in Vista...

 

... the game sucks under the 20fps in 1024x768 and everything switched off

 

Vista + CoD4 = 4GB RAM at the least.

Pretty much, sums it up. I had so much fun playing the demo. I've played it for 4 hours according to my Xfire.

 

I'm going to preorder it for sure!

I've been playing the demo over and over again, the game just rocks so much. It have a very pleasant 'feel' to it.

 

Didn't expect I could still run the latest games on 1600x1200 with everything maxed.

Yeah, before it was confirmed to be DX9, everyone thought it was DX10 – it's absolutely stunning.
