I'm in! I played some rounds today. There are some collision bugs. For some reason bullets go though some walls, some trees are not solid, and crawling is all messed up. Still great overall.

I've not played the game, but I know one of the perks make bullets go deeper through objects.

 

I want my frickin' e-mail!!!!!

 

This game seems to be awesome...

 

BTW, to the people who actually have played it, is it a game that works for stealth-like snipers?

Put it this way, you can lay in the grass as sniper and no-one will see you, they walk straight past you, happened loads of times for me.

 

Until there UAV or Air strike comes and you get arseholed that is.

 

Best game I've played in ages, and its only a f*cking demo!

 

It'll be putting BF2 back on the shelf for me.

Yeah but even without it, bullets go through most sheet-rock looking walls anyway. But with the perk, your bullets go through EVERYTHING.

I did briefly. I tried joining you and got that Downloading settings sh*t so went back to Dashboard and then joined some random game. It was on Vacant and you were in there. I was shouting TOOOOOGAAA! in the lobby at you but you didnt respond. Then Daz invited me so I pissed off. Not before you shot me in the face though you ass.

haha oh sh*t I didn't even realize, don't remember seeing that I killed you but I was killing all sorts of people last night. For a little while I didn't even have my mic plugged in, and a little later when I did I accidently turned down the volume and forgot to turn it back up.

The entire time I was thinking "damn the people here are quiet", haha. so my guess was that during one of those times was when you were yelling at me. Next time we should all open a party and go at it. Later today perhaps? And I promise I'll remember to turn on my mic.

 

I'm going to go surprise my gf at her work for our anniversary and take her to get ice cream but otherwise I'm free today. Probably be getting on in a little while after I do a little weight lifting and eat. Man this game is addictive, I'm planning my day around it now haha.

I've already used up by 5 custom slots to make different weapon and perk combos. I really enjoy the last stand one, and tend to use the perk that makes your bullets penetrate if not the last stand one. I also use the extra health bonus sometimes but not sure how well that helps me. The RPG's are really useful when an enemy heli comes around.

haha. I still haven't received my token and I finally beat Dead Rising. Sure I could finish some of the achievements for it, but I kind of am fed up with the game. I guess it is off to oblivion in the meantime.

Yeah that sounds good, I did some of it in Call of Duty 2, pretending to be a dead soldier, worked out until the people I regularly figured it out and started to check every body they see, haha.

Earlier on I was on my own on the main street on overgrown as sniper, when about 2 house lengths away from me 3 or 4 enemy were coming straight at me, so I thought fast and dived straight down into the grass and not one of them spotted me, so I waited until they had all gone past me then knifed 2 before getting shot.

All you need is someone with the beta, you give them you're account details, they download CoD4 to 1% on your account, then it tricks your Xbox into thinking you've got the beta.

I don't know about the hiding stuff if you are a sniper. I find that constantly my team (and by my guess the enemies) is getting the radar thingy which gives the position of any and all enemy targets. So I'll hide in the grass but the enemy follow the red dot on their radar and kill me.

I'm fully leveled and already have that option. But does that work automatically everytime the radar thing is done? Because I'm never sure if I have to activate it or what...

Yeah it should work automatically like all the other perks, if your still getting spotted while you still have the radar jammer perk, then it maybe because the surface you are lying on is not giving you enough camouflage with your outfit.

 

I have been laying in grass only for 2 people to stand right next to me kill someone and then run off again without even spotting me, they paid the price for not seeing me as i knifed both of them.

Just got the beta!!! and i'm very happy.

The beta is awesome and i'm definitley buying the game. The Vacant and Street map are good. Overgrown is ok but not one of my favorites

Loving this, been playing it for hours. Everything is awesome, the firefights are intense and look beautiful. The only thing i felt was silly, when there is an airstrike, all it does it throw up white smoke around, no explosions?

One question I have is will they be updating the game? I mean, I see that they'll be allowing the ranks to go higher, but I'm wondering if we will see actual updates (like tweaks to weapon damage, new maps, stuff like that)?

True. As for a level update, I think it is smart to raise the level as 11 is rather low (I reached that in under 2 hours of actually playing), but I think it would be smart of them to hold of on it until all the beta tokens are given out. It was hard enough for some players starting out to play against level 11 people with custom classes unlocked and sh*t, I can't imagine how someone might feel while playing against people higher than that. I remember there were people actually complaining about it in one game and I was just like "get your level up then."

LMAO, i woudn't even be able to run the demo as the recomended specs are touching the limits of my PC. If i can't even run the demo then i have no chance on earth running the full game.

 

I'll just stick to the 360 version then.
