it keeps saying it can't find games to me, so you're not alone.

I get that problem too. Try this. When you're at the lobby, just waiting, not trying to get in a game can you see your current level/prestige icon? If you can't, exit out of CoD4 back to the XMB and restart it. It should work fine. If you can see your icons...try it anyway. But usually when you can't that's your problem. It just times out or something.

 

I find I get this problem almost always if I leave CoD4 just running overnight in the lobby or something.

I'm starting to use the ACOG more and more. I used to hate it, since the extra zoom made CQC a bit harder, plus the sway really pissed me off. But now I'm used to it I don't use the red dot on any weapon, aside from the M4.

I'm trying to do the same thing but WITH all the guns, but f*ck me that's going to be a challenge. Need to get about 5.5k EXP for every hour of play. f*ck

Yes. I'm not sure about 32bit, but I'm on 64bit, and it worked for me.

I got quite an impressive kill today (if I may say so myself). I killed someone by throwing a grenade at them (while they were at the other end of the map), it wasn't the explosion that killed them, it was the grenade hitting them. I got a picture too:

 

I couldn't get a picture of the kill list as it disapeared before I could get my camera, but it wasn't anything special. The image was the same as the grenade launchers kill image.

I'm having a couple of glitches recently. I got to the end of Mission 12 - Safehouse, the one where you capture Al - Asad at the end. When I reached the end, Captain Price was nowhere to be seen to kick the door open. I assumed that he must have glitched somewhere, but couldn't find him anywhere. So, after re-loading a few times, it was the same. But then, it was as if my game had completely slowed down - as if I was in the crouching position, but stood up. I can't run, but can jump. Aiming and movement is really slow, as if the sensitivity is right down, but I've tried turning it to the maximum - which had no effect. Every new level I load is the same, and the game's unplayable. I haven't got online at the moment so haven't tried it in MP.

 

Has anybody else had this problem, what's the solution? I'm also playing on a PS3 is that helps.

Direct impact kill. Easy way to get them is find a player who has last stand, shoot them to the point where they fall down, and then huck a grenade at them. Easy way to complete the challenges plus its about the most humiliating kill you can pull off.

I'm going through Vet right now on the missions I have missed and I just completed The Bog and The War Pig mission after some pain in the ass moments and the achievement for passing both on Vet never popped up after I finished the level War Pig. Am I f*cked and the games glitched itself? I mean I played through from The Bog and carried onto The War Pig with no cheats or anything and it never popped up I know the whole game isn't glitched since I did the Charlie Don't Surf mission on Vet and that achievement popped up. Am I going to have to do these missions over again?

They are allright, they won't move forward for you, but if you get a bit of lead on them they rush up really fast and mow down heaps fo the enemies. The part right at the start just before the first staircase, after the big explosion. If you rush up and duck on those collapsed chairs your team will clear pretty much the whole room in a few seconds.

 

Also, 39 more kills with the M60 and I'll have the gold camo! I'm going to try get it before MW2 comes out next week, shouldn't be too hard.

 

@direct impacts, I just played a match on braodcast, I was in the carpark and lobbed a stun grenade long distance onto the roof, I hit some guy sprinting with a rebound headshot off the wall and killed him. It must've been a headshot or something because he said he was on full health.

I found the team to be quite helpful, mainly in the second room of terrorists where the plane blows.

 

Here's a quick strategy to do it.

 

Switch to pistol, knife guy coming out of bathroom. Go through the conference room (left), auto-lock onto guy with shotty (1-shot kill most of the time) while you're running, flashbang into the room, take out as many people with the pistol while they're running, knife one of the guys behind the dividing wall and go left. This room is crucial for time, because you can either waste a lot of time or get through it in seconds.

 

 

Flashbang into the second seating area, switch to MP5. At this point, your team should be running in as well taking out enemies. Go through the right aisle in crouch position.

 

Go upstairs, throw a flashbang into the seating area, take out some hostiles. Flashbang into the area behind the dividing wall, take out some more hosties. Pick up flashbangs on the counter. Crucial to have a full clip here. Throw a couple into the next seating area. Run through the room while they're downed (your team will take care of them) and take out the 3-5 that will be running into the room from around the corner.

I just got the gold M60, I caned the last 30 headshot in about 2 hours. I was playing broadcast and got 3 headshots in the space of about half a second shotting from across the map through a wall, it was awesome.

 

Then I played a round of HCHQ on shipment against some guys who had probably just bought the game, it was 3 of us onto 6 of them and we all had a k/d of 4/1, the netted me heaps of headshots for the P90.

Last sniper rifle and last assault i'm sitting at 120, so 60 in total to do Only got like 4 or 5 challenges to complete. Jump and 2 kill streak, flinging a grenade back & suicide bomber is the ones i can think of atm

The carpet bomb challenge is so satisfying, the hit marker goes nuts. Especially on shipment, when you often kill your own team just as much as the enemy.

yeah, something like that.. except it seems as if you went kind of crazy with the pistol at the beginning though.. lol

 

And keep trying is the best advice. I played MHC for about 3 hours straight and kept on modifying my strategy in the most minuscule ways and finally it payed off..

You have to be fairly ruthless with your push. Thats why I threw that first flashbang so early, so the guys coming would be stunned and I could cut them off with the pistol in the chokepoint and then get the shottie. I tried to shoot as little as possible at the first two guys [tried to get headshots on both of them so my teammates could keep up with my pace] and then as much as possible before having to reload at the guys coming into the room. It saves your attacks momentum.

 

Luckily theres a slight breather right after that since your team will do most of the work in the next room.

Oh, and I got fairly lucky with those shots through the wall on the second floor (cause I hit two guys with one shot).

 

The rest was just running...

 

 

So yeah, managing your resources is fairly important when youre up against time. Id rather have the option to switch to another weapon (I used the MP5 only at the very end) than realize that I need to reload in the middle of the fight.

i was at my friends house watching him try to complete it for around an hour. He had a fairley good strategy, but sadley he just can't aim that well. Then, he finally got to the bit where you bust through the door, and the terrorist has the hostage at gunpoint and he accidentally shot the hostage in the foot and killed him. Honestly my friend just burst out laughing when that happened.

 

Anyways, what's the rank for the guys in here. I mean globally. For score I'm somewhere in the region of 23k. I have around 1.6 million score with 30 days game time. Whats yours?
