This guy is a f*cking mug. He was getting destroyed by my mate (Grease) in a S&D match and was complaining about him using a perk glitch or something where he was apparently using Extreme Conditioning and Steady Aim at the same time? Then he gave us all a bunch of sh*t over the mic saying he knows everything about CoD and he's the best thing since sliced bread. But when it came down to a 1 on 1 he just blocked him. Sad really, 122 days of CoD4? Lol.

 

Only grabbed a pic because my phone was near. Anyway, bought CoD4 again recently to get used to it again ready for MW2. Helicopters still make me punch things.

Yeah funks, you'll find that most of the top players on the leader boards are actually sh*t.

 

If you get into the gamebattles community or others, there are guys that would sh*t all over these so-called 'top players', we just don't play ranked matches and so our stats and score are usually average.

 

I thought I used to be a CoD4 addict, was worried about becoming stuck to it but then I looked at how long people have played it for now and thought, 'f*ck this'.

Installed CoD4 on my PC today. I've been trying to decide whether to get MW2 for the 360 or PC, and the big thing I was worried about was framerate. So, I thought I'd use CoD4 to test it.

 

I averaged about 40 (when aiming at highly populated areas) to 80 (when aiming at the sky/away from the main points/in closed spaces, like interiors) FPS. On Charlie Don't Surf, however, my framerate was about 25 (when looking in certain directions only) to 60 FPS.

 

Only problem was, I had a hard time getting used to the keyboard and mouse, but that's understandable considering this is the first time I've played a CoD game on the PC. I also didn't like the fact that I couldn't use numpad keys in my control scheme. I use the arrow keys (call me crazy), and I usually use numpad 0 for crouch.

What's your specs mate?

3GB System RAM

ATI Radeon HD4670 (1.7GB Video RAM)

 

Can't remember what motherboard I have. And as for the OS, Vista Home Premium 64 bit.

Are you left handed, mate? Honestly, if not, it will be far easier for you to get used to using WASD, SHIFT, and C. By the way, your specs are good, try raising the refresh rate in the graphics option to maximum. Sounds strange, but the game always seems a lot less smooth when running at a refresh rate anything below 75...

 

By the way, if you get used to the standard mouse and keys, you'll probably enjoy MW2 on the PC more than the console version.

Is this game that much better on the PC when it comes to controls? I know the graphics are much better on the PC, but I really don't care about nice graphics.

 

Didn't really get into this game mainly due to my opinion that FPS's are meant to be played using a mouse and keyboard. I suck using controllers to aim, but now that I have a decent PC, was thinkign about picking this up for the PC and if I like it, I'll get MW2.

Get this game. Get it now. Right now. The PC version has several advantages over the console version, plus you already like the controls so there is no reason not to get this.

Speaking of the PC version, I'm confused. In all the videos I've seen, all the weapons are further away from the camera on the PC version than they are on the console versions. However, they're at the same distance as they are on the console versions when I play.

 

I was actually looking forward to that. It's a small difference, but I also prefer it.

 

(also, campaign mods are f*cking awesome. I didn't even know they programmed the AT4 into MW1 until I found it in a campaign mod).

Goddam I never even thought about campaign mods, I really should've bought this for PC, my computer can handle it too. I even pre-ordered MW2 for PS3.

 

Anyways, I've been getting some serious rape done with the G3 and M14 over the last couple of weeks, having just finished the headshot challenges for both yesterday. I actually got most of them on the smaller CQC maps but using steady aim and firing from the hip. I'm so glad I never have to use either of them again too.

Speaking about headshots, I've done cage matches when I didn't prestige once and got a golden AK. As promised, I have a gold cross, and I won't do any cage matches. Headshots are not that hard to get anymore.. Although most my kills in a game are not in the head, I'm getting many headshots. (Ie: 25 Kills--8 Headshots for Uzi.)

As a matter of fact, I have a similar story I would like to share with you guys. I was playing on ambush. (SnD) The game already started, I aimed with my ak 47 noobtube and BOOM one grenade launch, three kills. The host ended the game, (lag i think) and a dude on the mic was like, 'Wow'. And sent me a message, "NOOB". I laughed so hard. Noobtubes ftw.

i have adsl2+ and thats the best i can have due to where i live im with bigpond but if u live it the city then ring up telstra bigpond and ask if u can get cable internet, cable downloads at 30,000kb/s a 800mb movie in 4 mins. so ask for cable, if not adsl2+
