LOL Well after this I wont be using the old account again as I cant see myself playing MW anymore. Just makes playing a HQ easier if I’m using the profile with all the guns done and classes sorted.

On the topic of the double XP weekend, anyone up for some HCHQ games on Friday/Saturday/Sunday on the Xbox 360 side?

 

Should be entertaining to see "Teammate (grenade) Teammate" every two seconds... until I start trying to capture it as well, that is.

 

(I really wish cross-platform multiplayer was available. I blame Microsoft/Sony and their greed.)

I agree with this, it shocks me how little people use this.

Agreed, I rarely see people using an SMG+ACOG combination which I find quite odd considering how well they work. I remember a while ago I was doing pretty awesome with the Scorpion+ACOG and after the match some guy sent me a message saying how I was so bad at the game for using such 'a noob weapon', coming from him using the M16

Personally I've never really liked the M16. It's overpowered and shouldn't be burst fire. With a red dot, it doesn't need the right pair of hands, it's the easiest gun to use in the game and can out-snipe a lot of snipers with ease.

Hes just stating HIS reasons for not liking the weopon. I presonally like it with red dot.

At the same time though Enjoii the m16 has a lot of diadvantages tide with it. Such as being useless in CQI. Its also much less of a beast in hardcore. You also cant spray and pray which in my opinion is bad for noobs but good for tactical players.

I'm not moaning, just discussing CoD4 and the weapon therein. I play often enough to have practised properly with an alternative weapon. I'm just stating that, as a weapon, it's been put into the game in as an easy weapon to use because of the fact that IW either labelled it wrong or because they just decided that people can't handle semi-auto rifles properly.

 

The M16A4, now standard issue for front-line U.S. Marine Corps and some U.S. Army units, replaces the combination fixed carry handle/rear iron sight with a MIL-STD-1913 Picatinny rail, allowing for the rifle to be equipped with a carry handle and/or most military and consumer scopes or sighting systems (usually either an ACOG or M68 CCO scope).Most of the U.S. Marine Corps' M16A4s are equipped with a Knight's Armament Company M5 RAS handguard, allowing vertical grips, lasers, tactical lights, and other accessories to be attached. That's my main grievance with it. It should not be able to shoot in a 3-round burst fire mode, the weapon should have either have been the M16A2 or shouldn't have been burst-fire. Yes, they're still easy enough to kill, I just find it annoying that it's so massively used because of a feature it shouldn't even have.

Hmm...although the single player was good it was where most people spent 1/100 of their time in Call of Duty. Multiplayer is the best dude.

If you're only planning on playing Single Player, I personally wouldn't recommend it. It's a brilliant game and the SP is good, but it will not take that long to complete at all, even on Veteran mode, and would be a waste of money you could spend on a longer lasting SP game if you ask me.

I bought CoD4 with 0 intention of MP useage. I had the game for about 6 months and barley touch it. I completed it the first time on regular.

 

Then I went on MP, discovered quite a few new tactics and ended up beating the game on Vet...except for the f*cking epilogue. MP gives FPS a whole new dimension and I would say buy it and just give it a crack anyway. The game will be super cheap nowdays.

I find that most of the guns have their good points. It's just that you only use them when you first start playing, and naturally at that point you suck at the game. So you tend to think it was the weapon's fault and never use them again. Then when you go back after gaining more experience, you find that the weapons are actually pretty decent

Yes, I'm at my 2nd prestige right now. After countless hours (possibly 1 day worth of multiplayer!) without any prestige, I finally get to my 2nd prestige.

Just played a few rounds myself, it seems to be pretty good. I was never much of a fan of HQ but it's alright to play with hardcore on, although the 3x frag spam will get you quite often.

Well, the thing is, there's no spawn limit. While in Hardcore TDM, you would have to wait six to eight seconds to spawn (or twenty to forty if you teamkill), you instantly spawn in HCHQ. And the only punishment a teamkiller receives, is a lower score. So people really don't give a sh*t if they kill a teammate with their grenade, they throw it anyway.

I'm not liking Hardcore Headquarters.

 

I think it takes away the madness of what i love about HQ, scoring huge points when going all guns blazing in the enemies HQ. I suppose i could get used to it. But i'd much prefer something else hardcore.

I don't mind HC HQ. I can't stand regular HQ but that's because I'm not in a clan or play with a good crew of guys. When I play on a decent team its not bad. But HC seems more enjoyable because you can basically run around any map with an MP5 and own.

 

After being on my 3rd prestige for months I decided to go to 4 with the double xp this weekend. I'm such a tool.
