The M16 is mostly an SnD gun for me, for pre-firing and all.

Can somebody actually explain what pre-firing is? I've heard Pat and now you talk about it and not a f*cking clue what you mean .

Shooting even before your target is on the screen, it's like advanced spray and pray.

THe only reason i say I suck at using automatic guns(Especially the p90) is because I blindfire. My god how less accurate that is.

are those cars stacked up two high, and when you stand on them you can peek over a small wall? I've walked up on people camped up there so many times. I like to use my handgun and walk right up to them for the headshot.

Now, there are always things like "Rambo Claymore-ing" (running up to an enemy and putting a claymore right beside them, rather than knifing/shooting them) or No-Scoping which do require quite a bit of skill. Other than that, though, I think when someone gets a high K/D ratio, it's mostly luck.

 

And I don't consider myself to be "amazing" at this game. I usually have the same amount of deaths as I do kills in S&D, and a lot of the time I do pretty poorly. Of course, I play for fun, rather than bragging rights (which is the same reason I ninja defuse at any chance I get).

Hold on, did you just say no-scoping requires skill? I'd say its 80% luck and 20% skill, sh*t, I've gotten better shots than zzirGrizz before by pure luck.

Quick question; I havn't played CoD4 for quite a while now (maybe a year or so) and wanted to play multiplayer again, but after installing it i coulnd't find any servers, then realised maybe its cos i havn't got any patches. So i downloaded the latest version 1.7.

 

The patch wont install saying it needs 1.6 first, if i were to get that version would i need all the other patches before that installed first?

 

Most games i play only have 1 patch to download (which includes all previous versions), i thought all games nowadays were like that.

 

Edit: Nevermind, i can actualy play multiplayer, i just had to refresh the list, i thought it would have refreshed atomaticly when i opened the list like most other games i know.

Just use a proxy to go on, that's what I do. What's your gamebattles username? I'll add you to the roster.

 

EDIT: Man, I can't use silencer on M16, I just have terrible shots with it, I can only use Red Dot.

 

The only gun I can easily clutch with that has silencer on it is P90, I just went 12-1-1 on our last match using that thing.

Silenced M16 isn't bad, but it's hard as f*ck to pre-fire with, and it has a severely reduced range. I was taking on a sniper on Crossfire with one once, and it took me seven shots with a silenced M16 to kill him. Would've taken me two with the reflex sight.

 

It has many advantages for Normal, though. In Hardcore, you can just use your silenced side-arm when they get a UAV, so reflex sight would work best there.

But, if you're IP banned, you can still get on with a proxy. Amirite? Because, a proxy hides your IP and makes it seem as if you're on a new IP. Trust me, it should work. And, if you have to make a new account, do it. 'Cause we need some damned good members like yourself.

Doesn't matter what I do, I've changed my I.P adress and used several proxies. For one, proxies are banned from the website and are automaticly stopped from being used now, two, I was signed on when I got banned so everytime I visit the site I'm signed into my account and I can't click "log-out" to make a new account .

It's all good in ranked matches Nick, you'll find it bloody hard in clan matches to clutch. It's not just about having a good shot, you pretty much have to crouch everywhere, so they can't hear you despite you using dead silence, once you kill one guy you have to think "they know where I am now, where do I go?" finding the right place is f*cking hard, then you have to make sure they don't plant the bomb if you're defending or get it planted if you're attacking.

 

I'll get you involved in some of our scrims next time you're online, give you a taste of what's to come .

Perk 1: Bomb Squad.

Perk 2: Stopping Power.

Perk 3: Dead Silence.

 

Most people make the mistake of using the same tactic for every weapon, you can stand in the middle of the map and pick people off with an M16, but you need to remain concealed and get close to your enemy with the MP5, it has too much recoil and you'll be shot down from long-range. By no means camp, just crouch behind walls and make your way through the map untill you find people.

 

Try a bit of "rushing", most people tend to hang back at the start of the round in fear of getting shot straight away, but you'll be suprised how easy it is to find a gap in the enemy's set-up. Just find an area of the map were not alot of action happens that leads to their spawn. If you can't find a route, chuck some smoke and run towards the enemy. Once you're behind them and they're still looking forwards, you can shoot them all or stabb them one-by-one.

 

Try it and let me know how it goes .

Im level 32/33 in prestige 1.

I think the bomb squad is not available.

Although I know for sure that the dead silence is not available.

Bombsquad is unlocked pretty early isn't it?

 

As for Deadsilence, doesn't really matter if you're rushing. Use extreme conditioning instead, reduces the risk of you getting shot or grenaded when you rush their spawn.
