Well, I've played the crap out of this game the past few nights. I'm up to rank... 18 or 19 I believe. I played with the same guys I originally played Gears Of War with way back when and we had a blast. We played the Headquarters game mode a few times but our most intense match we won 1000 to 990. It was intense.. We also played a bunch of Team Deathmatch, Search And Destroy and Sabotage game modes.

 

When you unlock the grip for the Shotgun, it cuts down on your recoil about 60%. It's a perfect weapon for Headquarters when you hole yourself up in a building. Also, the weapons our team used were varied. One of our guys had a SAW, another an MP5, one an M16, I had a Shotgun + Rocket Launcher which made great use for launching straight into the buildings in the Headquarters mode. Once we got inside, our C4 man would plant some at the bottom of the stairs and at the most open doors and we would watch the other ones. Then our guy with the SAW would go prone and the top of the stairs. and the rest would chill inside, kneeled in the corners. But anyway, yeah, Headquarters is fun if you got a team who constantly communicate and bust their ass to get to the locations. I can honestly say I've never had this much fun with multiplayer, even moreso than Gears Of War.

 

EDIT: @FunkyChunky - yeah, Shipment is small as hell. Earlier in the night some jackass decided to do 3v3 Sabotage matches on Shipment. I hadn't played the map, ever, so I had no idea it was so damn tiny.

Two things immediately come to mind when seeing that screenshot:

 

1) It doesn't speak well for the "CT" clan that 4 members, including a level 55, placed in the last 5 spots for their team on their own server.

 

2) "Truthypants" is about a 1000 times better name than "m4ttst3r."

Funny sh*t right there (not my bad score) but lets say we had a bad day. We were just getting used to it. Truthy Pants your m4stt4r?

I think they are all through Act 1. Not sure though, and there is tons on Charlie Dont Surf.

 

HELICOPTERS ON MUTLIPLAYER ARE DOING MY HEAD IN.

 

No matter where you are, in grass, smoke, buildings. THEY WILL SHOOT YOU. I mean, I was in smoke and grass capping a flag and it shot me in the head instantly. Then watching the kill cam you wouldn't even know anyone was there. I MEAN f*ck OFF. AND NO ONE f*ckING SHOOTS THEM DOWN. They will just rape for a while and no one even tries to take it down. Im just sat there with my RPG getting raped. Gay.

 

Oh and LAST STAND. WHY?!

 

Ill be shooting someone untill they drop down and it just happens that someone just takes a shot when he's in Last Stand and takes the kill. That is most annoying.

I played a 16v16 match on Shipment.

 

I played a headquarters map with, well, a lot of f*cking people. No one captured the headquarters once and I got 96 kills, 42 deaths, and 1700exp with the M60. The entire time I just stood in the corner and unleashed the fury. I was totally impersonating the heavy from TF2.

 

Anyone have a gold gun yet? I'm trying to get 150 headshots with my uzi, but it turns every game I play into a f*cking chore. I don't even care if I kill someone if it's not a headshot.

Im level 40 now, just unlocked the P90. Love it, its brilliant. Owns at close quater.

I played a few games last nite, i'm almost up to level 5, mostly played on Shipment, there were about 10 other guys playing, it was hectic.

My username in COD4 is <Mr.T>.

 

I noticed a Continuity error in SP today, correct me if i'm wrong but this game is set in present day right? and the P90 gun was released in 1994? When i was doing the mission in Pripyat, which is set 15 years ago, i got a P90 of a dead guy :S, If i'm right then this mission is set in 1992, 2 years b4 the gun was in service. I may be wrong cos i only did a quick search, but if theres an explanatin to why the gun can be found back then, i'd like to hear it .

Argggg, I'm stuck on the level ''No fighting in the war room'' on Veteran. God, it just seems impossible to do within the time limit. Does anybody have any help for this level?

I was able to unlock the Mini Uzi red dot sight after 2 games and it's basically done me awesome so far, even got a couple of unexpected long-range headshots with it. It's a great weapon for short to medium ranged combat, (with the red dot sight) and it fires at a blistering rate so you're almost always guarunteed the drop.

 

PS. I'm also at level 23 and I unlocked the quick reload perk, which really helps, especially with the Mini Uzi and Shotgun, but with every weapon nonetheless.

@The-end: check youtube. I was having problems with No Fighting in the War Room on Regular (yeah, I know, I suck ) and they had a Veteran vid up there for that mission that helped me gauge how fast I needed to get through each section.

Heh. Last night, last game, 15 seconds in the game left. My K/D score was bout 15-16 and I was playing online on that Silo map. I knew one guy was behind a sign or something and was hiding from him.

 

Luckily a teammate hadn't had this information and ran a few feet in front on me and with him practically dead, I figured it was my best chance to get closer to "Mr.Hides-behind-signs". As I predicted, my friend was (I assume) killed by a grenade but I took this as a sign and while aiming, came out from hiding and popped a couple bullets into the baddies head.

 

Now I was relieved but saw about 3 or 4 guys in a building a few feet away. Figured the game was 10 seconds to being done, no harm in trying to get a knife kill or two. Luckily, they must have figured I would be and easy kill and let their guard down because I managed to get like 3 of those guys just as the game ended haha.

 

Final K/D score 19 - 16

Heh, my clan is number two on the GameBattles leaderboards. We're Spontaneous Combustion. Quite cool, this is. We haven't played many matches in about two days, which is why Control has managed to overtake us by a considerable margin. Hopefully we can get the top spot back.

you can get to the middle scores in 2 days or less but then it takes quite abit longer.

 

and this is after all 10 times, AND THEN get all the challenges.

 

I have gotten all acogs on all weapons minus 2 sniper rifles, and now I have only JUST got red camo for one weapon, its going to take a much longer time for headshots.

 

It will take ages.

 

Anyway I dont want to get rid of all that progress.

 

Its f*cking stupid.

 

Logically, you should keep your unlocks and challenges, make prestige harder to go through because of no more challenges, or maybe make the single challenges such as shooting down a chopper, should be able to be done over and over.

 

 

Its just poorly thought out.
