Meh, jumping is a one way ticket to faildom. Its all about sprinting away, if I kill someone close to me I either pick it up and throw it or just sprint.

 

I hate how on PC you can get really big points, like 500+. On 360 I hardly ever see anyone over 350+

Well, after you jump and then try to sprint, theres like a delay where you run slow for a while. Atleast I think there is, ill have to double check that.

 

Ah, I thought it was because you could make matches longer and stuff. Never tried it on PC, most likely it is better though, I prefer using a mouse and keyboard for FPS.

On the subject of the martyrdom, is that properly impossible to get away from on 360? It's very easy to avoid on PC, even if you are on top of the body/nade you can just jump away.

On the contrary, you should see his average K:D ratio, averages about 30:7

The MP5 is great huh? I think pretty much all the guns are awesome, especially with the red dot attachment.

 

What are everyone's LEAST favourite maps? I'm really not a fan of Bloc and District.

So I was able to connect to some damn people online, finally last night. It took me a good 4-5 matches to get the hang of things but once I did, I started getting better. I was still a bit in the Halo 3 mentality just running around trying to score some kills. As in most games, one thing I noticed is I constantly saw both teams (team deathmatch) always running to the exact same places, and camping in the exact same places. I used the Shotgun on one of the maps where it's just streets/ rooftops and blown out market stores (all of them, right? haha.) and everybody kept meeting up at this same damn hole in the wall that connects 2 different leveled buildings. Anyway, I was able to punch through there and picked a spot near the door, the other team spawned near there and I'd just drop them as soon as they got close to the doorway, or the hole in the wall. It gets predictable but at times but I haven't had this much fun on Call Of Duty 4 since I played Gears Of War multiplayer.

 

I also ranked to level 7 in one night which I was happy about. I want to get to level 16 or so by the end of Sunday if possible. I've found the best combination is the MP5 for the time being. And it also seems the perks you get in the beginning, while sound really helpful (increased hip firing accuracy, bullet penetration, etc) are pretty damn worthless. I found very little value in those, except for the "increased health" perk, when I would get shot at heavily, a small medic/health icon would appear lower center of the screen. I think it was saying that that was when my extra health helped me to stay alive.

 

Also, a note on the Shotgun: It's really a great f*cking weapon for stay inside buildings. While people generally hate campers, it's good for that or clearing out some unaware enemies at close range. I also noticed a sh*tload of people camping in the buildings/rooftops and especially those [buildings] that have the Machine Gun Turret. It's almost as if as soon as they get to that Turret, somebody sets up a claymore at the stairs/top of the ladder/etc and just raped everybody on the map.

No snow maps? Aww man, I love snow maps! Meh. The shotgun sounds about the same as the trench gun in COD 2. I really like it. I really gotta buy this game alread, last nights XPlay review really got me excited about it. Gotta renew that gold subscription too..

Two things immediately come to mind when seeing that screenshot:

 

1) It doesn't speak well for the "CT" clan that 4 members, including a level 55, placed in the last 5 spots for their team on their own server.

 

2) "Truthypants" is about a 1000 times better name than "m4ttst3r."

Bloc and Shipment. I'm usually a fan of small maps but F*CK Shipment pushes it.

I just bought my copy of this game today and I'm about to go play it after I finish some work that I must finish. I'll let you all know what I think later on tonight when I've played it.

 

EDIT: Wow, what an incredible game. The first mission on the ship is just brilliant, it really started the game off well. I'm up to about Day 3 now but I have to do more work so I had to stop playing.

 

What's the Multiplayer like? I might try it out later.

the epilogue is f*cking hilarious. I didn't reload my pistol before storming the final room, so the slow motion sequence started with me reloading. Then I shot the dude in the face by accident. So the second time (after reloading), I shot the tango in the foot and when he dropped the hostage I pegged him in the face.

 

MP is exhilarating. I've never wanted a cigarette after playing a multiplayer game, but this sh*t is so f*cking intense.

Just owning with Cali, btw I got a 27 kill streak without dying 0 deaths, alive for like 5 mins straight even while being right in the action, god I raped that round it was unbelieveable.

So what happens after you get to Level 55 then? You cant get any higher than that unless you go Prestige? (Which Im guessing puts you back to the start with no unlocks and stuff?)

You can easily finish it in a day, but the multiplayer is what it's all about.

I'm stuck on One Shot One Kill on veteran, I'm at the very end of the level were you have to kill sh*t loads of guys at the ferris wheel. I get through it all and my helicopter lands but when i go to try and pick up the guy who i need to carry to the helicopter i get shot and killed. I've done it like 5 or 6 times now and its starting to get really anoying

There is at least 3 ways.

 

 

1 lay C4 all round the carpark and landing zone, then run out and hide in the left corner on the right side alleyway after the helicopters have came, wait till the chopper comes, blow it then go get cappy.

 

2 lay in the booth with the door open facing the ferris wheel in the corner and dont move.

 

3 lay against the side wall of the booth on top of the bumper car platform facing the ferris wheel and pop people with the ak.

 

 

 

 

And btw the prestige mode is now open, but I dont want to click it, incase it gets rid of all my stuff without warning. So Im abit scared to click it. There should be other menus explaining it inside but I dont want to check.

 

I dont gain anymore points, it stays at 0 for next rank, but overall points I think still keep coming.

Hey, i just managed to do the level. I hid at the side of the bumper cars thing and shot the guys and then just before i ran to get the guy i looked at the map to make sure there wasn't guys there. Grabbed him and ran to the helicopter. God, one time i actually got right to the helicopter with him but got stuck on one of the guys outside it and died. Ah well atleast it's done now.

I got this game yesterday (PC), and love it, its so realistic and it feels like a modern Hollywood war movie, great story to it.

I'm still on Act 1 at the moment, havnt tried online yet, but dont think i want to with all the people complaining about the annoying 11-17 year olds screaming at you when u kill them lol, is there a way to mute certain/all players? i do i have to turn the volume down.

 

Just finnished the mission "Death From Above", now that was and awsome mission. I look forward to playing that again on a harder difficulty.

 

Also, i cant remember where (may have been in this topic), but i read that...(major spoiler) the main guy (SAS) dies in an a nuclear explosion or something, wish i never uncovered the spoiler tag when reading about the game lol, sucks that i know how it ends or when one of the main guys dies.

 

I havnt really taken much notice of the COD games bafore 4, my dad has the first one but i was never interested in the series, but since playing 4 i wanted to go back to the first one and try that, so i did. Its not bad, better than i thought, but its just another WWII game like MOH, i may play it through and get the second one if i liked it, but if i want COD3 i'l have to get it for PS3, any reason why is not out for PC?

Anybody remember the mission aftermath after the nuclear explosion. That was one of the most brilliant cinematics ever put into a game and one of the most fearing. When you go near the playground and hear the echoes of laughing children, it literally scared the crap out of me. And the way when you fall down and everything fades out. Just Brilliant! And it makes me fear of what can happen in the future

prestige mode resets your rank back to one.(the prestige symbol is your new rank-you go through all 55 to get a new prestige symbol-repeat for 6? levels) you lose all unlocks. you keep your clan tag.

The whining is a console complaint. The PC version is just the opposite; it has very little chatter -- text or voice. Only occasionally do you see someone use the voice chat and the few times it's happened in my games I had no idea what they were saying anyhow because the quality was so bad.

 

Speaking of the PC version, what happens when a large group of people play a Headquarters game on the Shipment map with no timelimit? Massive, utter devastation and ridiculous scores. Sadly, I joined this game while it was in progress and so I only managed a measly 553 compared to the 1700+ of the leaders who played the whole round...
