im at 1.0 right now... if i want to go to 1.7... do i have to download everything between 1.0 to 1.7 to get to 1.7???

 

when i go to 1.7... does all my stats, guns, and w.e come with me? what if i go back?

 

could i go back to 1.0 from 1.7?

You need all the patches mate to get to 1.7.

Patch 1.7 is called "1.6-1.7".

 

You won't lose any of your guns or stats and the only possible way you could go back to 1.0 would be to find servers that run 1.0, which is incredibly difficult.

Just finished a game with "ikeepitreal." It was Domination on Creek. Pretty good game, I mostly just camped at A and popped up whenever I heard "Losing A!" Of course, I got a heli, but right before I called it in someone on the opposing team called one in. And after that heli killed all six people on our team at least once, the match ended, and we lost.

 

So, basically, it started good, ended f*cking horribly.

Don't you just hate the start of CoD4 matches, everyone gets spawned in the same place and you end up pushing eachother around, like when you get connection interupted. The amount of times I've been grenade killed 'cause some dick wouldn't move, jeez.

btw does the punkbuster activity take up HD space? i always see punkbuster downloading things when im in a game for the whole game -__- ive lost a ton of HD space and i havent downloaded anything

There aren't no 1.2 or 1.3 patches, it started off on 1.4. The servers that are running client version 1.7 aren't harder, its just that the newer maps may be a bit more popular, so there's a rotation of maps between 1.7 and the previous patches.

 

As far as I know, PB does take up space but without it you won't be playing online I'm afraid. Delete some of the junk on your PC, if there is any.

For anyone who has played headquarters on shipment knows that it turns into the ultimate kill fest. You get plenty yourself but you also die a lot. However when in this game mode you usually lose at best by 70-100 points against whatever your team gets. Today though I must have faced the worst team ever to grace COD 4! We beat them the max 250 to 0, they either were as bad as it seemed or just didn’t get the idea behind that game mode.

That was so fun last night. I didn't think I would ever stop laughing. My mom was on the PC right beside me and I even got her to start laughing.

Just got going on multiplayer yesterday, done about 7 hours and I'm level 20

Atm I'm finding it really hard to get like, seven kills in a row without dying, only done it three times.

Its just like any FPS honestly. Maybe this its you're first but for me theres always been about 10-20 hours of adaptation on any online FPS. When you master the controls, learn the weapons and know the maps, even if you're not any good, that when the fun starts.
