Edit: @Rocky: I checked, it is his first post in this topic. So, what I'm seeing here, is that someone who's never even posted in a fairly popular topic, decided to claim the three-thousandth post in it. How funny. Everyone just has to be recognized for something.

Been playing CoD4 for the past two weeks since I had completed every other game I had and finished it 1000/100 finally. Veteran wasn't too hard actually, just a cause of using cover. Although No Fighting In The War Room nearly made me bite my Xbox in half and throw the controller into the wall. I managed to get to the control room at one point then died and it took me back to basically the start of the level! CoD4's checkpoint system sucks more balls than Halo's.

 

Online I can only play Hardcore S&D, its the only game type that doesn't annoy me too much. Aside from when you get teamkillers. I'm at Lvl 54 2nd prestige and I think thats how its going to stay for a while since I have Bad Company now. Are they planning to release the map pack for free at any time? Like they did it with Halo..

when you leave a game.... does all the exp, challanges u achieved in that game save or it goes away? what about rank up and the kill, death, assists?

They are saved when you leave, don't worry.

Yeah the only thing which takes a hit when you leave a game is your Win ratio as when you leave it automatically counts as a loss.

 

Whcih becomes frustrating when you leave a game, then go to the menu and select the same game mode and get jumped back into the same game on the same team.

Anyway, I use the M1911 myself. It's not like I use my sidearm that much though, my sniper class has the M21, which is pretty easy to shoot from the hip with.

The clip holds the bullets for a gun. I like the Deagle more than any pistol. But when I don't have it unlocked I use the M1911 or M9.

Correct, but everyone calls it that across the world. A clip is something like the five-round strippers used in World War II for loading bolt-action rifles. The magazine is a box that holds ammunition. Magazines are reloadable, while clips are discarded.

Played with angrybanana and a lot of his friends tonight, and I found two gamemodes that can be great with friends. There were fifteen of us though, so it got a little complicated.

 

"Michael Jackson" - It's basically a crude version of tag. One person is MJ (OpFor), everyone else is on Marines. Everyone in Marines can only use special grenades. MJ can use anything. The last person left on the Marines can use anything to kill MJ.

 

"Infection" - One person is on OpFor, everyone else is on Marines. On the Marines, you can use your pistol, and special grenades. On OpFor, you can only use your knife and smoke grenades. If an OpFor knifes a Marine, the Marine switches to OpFor; AKA, they become "infected." The last four Marines (or, in a smaller game, the last one or two) are allowed to use any weapon they have.

 

It was fun, but there were too many people. I'd like to try with six or seven.

Man, it's hard to go from BF: Bad Company to this. But I played again today, 24 deaths-13 kills . Man I need to practice.

 

I did however find a perfectly wrapped Strategy Guide at Gamestop, which of course I bought on-line. I'm to lazy to go pick it up.

That's essentially the zombie mod for the PC version. Except that it forces that stuff on people so even when playing random people the gametype works rather than having idiots that would run around using any weapon they wanted.

I finally made it to 6th prestige today. Hopefully I can make it to tenth prestige by next year.

Were you doing hardcore team death match? If not they must have been real dumb opponents given that the kill cam would show who killed them and where from.

I just spent 6 rounds using nothing but the n00bt00b, getting the Ouch! achievement. By the end of it, people were so pissed off at me, but it was worth it.
