Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare

Does anybody have any good suggestions for a hiding spot in the level where you have to camp out near the ferris wheel and stop the incoming army attacks until the helicopter gets you? The only good place I chose was inside one of the booths, which was great, until a grenade soon got thrown close enough to kill me, but not close enough for me to throw back.

 

But yeah I kept trying a few different things such as sniping the hell out of them when they first come into view; I later tried laying down a couple of the C4 charge up near there as well and it worked denotating them when there were a good amount of them.

Go in the grass behind the farris wheel and put claymores around you so noone can come near you and just snipe.

i was stuck playing private match with my friends (the horror) and i ended up beating "showdown" on veteran and unlocking the 2nd horseman achievement

 

only 3 more missions to go!!!

Fortunately, Xbox Live worked fine for me tonight.

 

Story time. I was walking in a hallway on the second floor of a house when a guy sprints out of one of the rooms. I tried to knife him, but I f*cked it up and he went right past me. He was reloading when we met, so he attempted to knife me, failing, and then ran right back into the room he came in. Figuring that I had him cornered, I move towards the doorway. This is when the wall of the room that he entered f*cking lights up with random spraying. Poor sap was tried to pull a cheap shot on me, in the coolest way. I laughed and laughed and killed him. Although, I did congratulate him on the valiant effort afterwards.

 

btw, I think that perks affect the mounted guns on the map, too. This guy managed to go penetrate two walls using a mounted m249, obliterating respawns. Pretty cool, except I was on the team getting raped.

1.The graphics in COD 2 were way better.

2.The story wasnt that great.

3.Online is ok but most levels suck.

4.I traded in Halo 3 to get this.

I suggest you go play something else than FPS games then.

 

1. The graphics in cod2 are nothing compared to those in cod4.

2. The story is amazing, it's like a movie, a true adventure, it sucks you up.

3. If you say contemporary levels in online mode suck, you're spoiled or something.

4. I'd play call of duty over halo any time.

The hell did you play? even my Nan could tell that 4's "graphics" (or presentation) were beyond those of 2.

Just sit behind there with some auto and check for people coming over the bumper cars or around the side in the third image. They don't even try to injure the guy you're with (I forget his name), so don't worry about trying to cover him. Just get ready to dodge nades they throw over the top.

I just got this game last night and it's awesome. This is easily the prettiest 360 game I've played. That opening credits scene as the president riding in the back of the car through downtown Jihadville, or wherever the f*ck it is, was brilliant. Such depth, realism, and attention to detail put into this game. The gameplay itself is very solid, with the expected array of controls, etc.

 

The only things about the game I don't like are that 1) I shoot my own guys a lot because I can't tell who is who from distance, and 2) I don't like long range warfare. A lot of the shootouts you get involved in are with guys who are a good 50-75 feet away, and while that may be somewhat more realistic- I would prefer a bit closer of action. Not to say you don't get it, but a lot of times when I have to camp for cover during a gunfight, I'll be very far from the enemies.

 

The game itself is a sight to behold. The missions load quickly, there is ZERO lag or framerate skipping, and the sound effects are totally absorbing. Love this sh*t! Now if I can just get some skills to get on multiplayer.

 

By the way, whoever said CoD2 was better looking than this can lend their eyes to a blind person, because obviously they aren't using them. This game is light years ahead of the old titles in the series.

Just try Veteran though, you'll be glad there isn't much CQC, you have no chance if you are close to an enemy, seriously. Im trying to complete it on Vet but I have never been so frustrated over any game like I have with CoD4.

Now if Live has fixed the damn issues with the Live service, it would be even better.

Anyway, went on to MP for the first time tonight and honestly I got utterly owned. Came last every single time and my top score was something like 80. Then again, I hardly ever play MP so was to be expected. In fact, tis the first game I've properly played online - even though I get owned it's still fun nonetheless! Definitely glad I bought this game now.

The good thing about Halo is that you can't talk to your enemies so their screams of frustration go unheard. In this game you get called a fa**ot every time you score a kill. It's ridiculous, as it's happened in every game I've played so far. Even in the team game I played I was close to just taking off my headset my teammates were so annoying.

 

 

Anyway, just beat the campaign, which was really short, but really fun, except for the second to last level, which was just so cliche I couldn't believe it.

It's unfortunate that most online experiences get ruined by the pre-teens or just absolutely obnoxious 14-17 year olds. So far it's been bareable. I might be starting up a clan with my friend so...soon enough I'll actually be able to communicate with my team.

I have the opposite problem. You see, I'm a friendly person, but in all the servers I've been in, no one says anything! Especially not in team chat, which is also annoying.
