If somebody started a proper server it may come up with RTB checked as it would be the same version. Just a theory. Ill try joining one now. EDIT: Managed to join one, so it is possible if we get a server running. EDIT2: Servers are coming up now with RTB checked. Odd why they weren't coming up before. Besides you guys and maybe a few from other forums, the majority of the people that play only do so because of how easy it is to crash servers and use exploits to get admin. The game has been unsupported for years. Actually, the very first release of Blockland was the one and only with no updates. Since the retail version's release, there have been 10. You get what you pay for. I used to play RTB with a few members here. Dodgy Dan (who then went by a different name), Superbeast, TEoS, and Freak, from what I recall. All cool guys. Shame only a few from here took the jump to retail. It's kind of sad how people are less inclined to spend money on a great independent game than a sh*tty one from a multimillion dollar company. agent17 Posted February 9, 2009 Share Posted February 9, 2009 RTB holds more freedom in what you can create, even if the retail version has some nice features, I've seen far more amazing and unique builds in RTB, than the retail version. Besides, the retail characters look horrid compared to their older counterparts, even though they had no choice due to lego's copy rights, it still turned many people off. I guess it's kinda similar to garry's mod. I'm really intrigued now, I was just playing around with the jet pack for a while, lol. I still have the original Blockland beta client; I found it a few weeks ago digging in an old hard drive and fired it up... There's still lots of server activity, and within minutes I was being harassed by a rogue block-buster who dropped into my empty land out of nowhere. He suggested I get the new client.
