GTA3Freak-2001 Posted August 23, 2007 Share Posted August 23, 2007 Those on the Rockstar mailing list should have received an email announcing the debut of the Midnight Club: Los Angeles trailer and screenshots. The game is coming out on Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 in 2008. Trailer I think it looks great, it seems very much like Test Drive Unlimited with the nice interior camera view and hopefully offer a online experience similar if not better. SIP YEK NOD Posted August 23, 2007 Share Posted August 23, 2007 I think it looks great, it seems very much like Test Drive Unlimited with the nice interior camera view and hopefully offer a online experience similar if not better. the in-car view has become a staple of the current gen. since the birth of racing games, we have been stuck with the rigid chase cam. at one point we got the hoodless bumper cam, but that was just a band-aid. any racing game this gen without an in-car view is basically crippled. and yeah, this game looks sweet, almost like a TD:U set in LA with teh rice! i need a change from hawaii. Seddo Posted August 23, 2007 Share Posted August 23, 2007 The graphics look amazing there especially the background, the car interior looks great aswell, hopefully there should be a demo to download soon as this game certainly looks appealing. It will have good competition though as there are starting to come out with all sorts of racing games, but looking at the trailer it looks like Midnight can compete with the rest. Well of course it may remind you of San Andreas but that's only because San Andreas and specificlly the first city Los Santos is based on Los Angeles so you've got to expect some similar looking places. Test Drive Unlimited had nice graphics, innovative "massive open-world racing" but racing games generally get boring after a while. TDU was no different, it soon gets mundane driving cars/bikes around Hawaii racing against stupid AIs or whining real life palyers online. Yeah but Rockstar isn't Take 2, Rockstar is under the Take 2 umbrella so the fact of no Rockstar game going to the PC format for a few years does indicate a move away from PC games.
