They did put about 6 cutscenes in.

 

Cathouse, Train Mission, Supermarket, Rocco, The Begnning scenes.

 

Quite a bit if you think about it.

It's a shame they advertised this as a story mode DLC, and they manage to put in two "ok" missions. They did add a few interiors/locations, but the end of the final mission is an interior used in the main game, did they also run out of interiors ?

 

 

Compare this with TLAD and TBOGT, now that are proper DLC's. Come to think of it, either of those two has more replay value, and more storyline/side missions and fun then Mafia II and the two DLC's together !

 

Mafia II is a game that severely lacks content. And then to think that the game + 2 DLC's cost about 80 USD, and compare that to a single IV DLC that cost about 15 USD.

 

It took me a total of 21 hours to complete the main game + Jimmy and Joe DLC, 21 hours ! And no replay value, except playing it again.

i was wondering this too actually, please don't tell me they're unavailable, that would be ridiculous

 

as for this dlc, i'm 44% through it and there have only been a couple of good missions, the rest has just kind of being stealing cars, hopefully it gets better as it goes on and i was hoping there would be more of it set in the winter as i like the winter part of the game better

The few missions with winter are detailed, the rest are like classic gta III era missions without cutscenes

some of the missions in this are completely ridiculous and are based on luck which i hate, i also hate the fact if you die or fail you have to start from the beginning again especially since there is a hell of a lot of driving in the missions

No. It's not photoshoped. I got over 200%. And yes, I notice myself that you die much faster and more easy even on medium with only one shoot from a shootgun even when you cover when all of this supose to be on hard gameplay how it is on Vito & Jimmy.

 

If I didn't replayed some missions 15 times.

You just die too fast.

It happenned to me too I finish the game with 312%

It's because of Free Ride mod V2.1, with it you get all Playboy Magazines and Wanted Posters when you start free ride game.

Too late to mention but you can still buy Mafia 2 at a much lower price (and essentially; you pay the price of the game 'full priced' now for the game and the two DLC expansions).

 

Atleast, if you're quick enough to buy the game on sale + the DLC's. You'd get your money's worth (considering that the DLC is nothing but scrapped content from the original/vanilla game.

I ain't playing this. It's was clear that it's same as Jimmy's Vendetta when it came for PS3.

 

2K "impressed" me very well with all this DLC BS (for Mafia II and BioShock 2).

Google, Betrayal of Jimmy is no longer a PS3 exclusive. It seems to be pretty much the same as the other Jimmy DLC, just finished the first mission.

I'm also playing the Betrayal of Jimmy now on PC and it's really just like Jimmy's Vendetta was. It's OK, but nothing special and they still have the annoying timers.

Later on, however, you can unlock a new car: the Waybar Hot Rod. At least this is a nice addition .

Also, I think anyone who has played Mafia 2 will be surprised to look at this incredible video:

 

 

 

This shows WORKING melee weapons in the game ! I hope that soon we will be able to use these in-game ...

Just finished the betrayal of Jimmy, another 4.5 hours of gameplay.

 

They re-used two interiors out of the main game again, I wonder why they couldn't add some nice interiors.

 

It's pretty much the same as the other Jimmy DLC.

I'd say it's not really worth getting, most of the missions are similar to the ones in jimmy's vendetta, there aren't many cutscenes, you don't get to wear joe's outfit from the original mafia 2, and there isn't much extra content apart from a car which I did like and a few interiors which are locked after you complete the missions which they are involved in.

About the car. Doesn't have shadow model. Looks so odd when you drive with it. They rushed with this DLC too.

The word "exclusive" has lost it's meaning in gaming circles. First they release a game, for a console, "EXCLUSIVE!". Then they release it on a PC which also gets free DLC, apart from the console! Few years after the console exclusive also gets released on another console and it gets some exclusive content on that console!

I got Mafia 2 the other day and I think it's alot better than what some people said in this thread. I admit I wasn't too sure of it, but I saw the collector's edition the other day for $60AUD, and thought "why not?".

 

I've found the story a bit hard to follow, but it's been really good. I knew it wasn't a long game, but it's longer than most games are.

 

I'm nearly finished, but I think I'll play through it again on hard.

The ending of mafia 2 is bogus, i dont make sence and leaves off with a cliff hanger. 2K should be ashamed. I worked my A** off to get the ending as the game is really hard, then i do that, then the cars pick me and joe up. Joes car goes somewhere else and leo says "sorry, joe was not part of the deal." Then the game rolls the credits. WTF?

I want my money back. I will not support mafia 3 if its gonna be like this. I like the game till that, its dumb and you cant even play after the ending, AND its a really short game. Beat it in under 3 hours. They waited about 9 years to make mafia 2 after the first. Whats next? Another 9 or 10 years to see the real ending?
