If I got it right then Betrayal of Jimmy is coming to PC and X360 and exclusive to Poland, Czech, Ukraine, Slovakia, Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan.

This game would have been superior to GTA IV (forgive me for comparing) if it had free roam and some stuff polished. Why the f*ck did they not include it? Did they spend all the f*cking money optimizing it?

Most other sandbox games aka GTA clones have free roam, why not this one?

Because it was created as a story-based game, it was never supposed to have it, therefore it's not a GTA clone, they didn't plan to do free roam - simple.

Maybe so, but they could have included a free roam. It would have been a HUGE addition to the game.

i don't think many people care now to be honest, we all know that jimmy's vendetta was crap so it's likely the betrayal of jimmy will be crap too and the other little dlc's aren't much, to me this is just yet another way of 2k to make easy money

yeah, i was going to mention how f*cking amazing that mission looks, the only thing i would still like them to add in would be more weapons, since they are charging us for it the least they could do is add in as much as possible, maybe they will leave that for their next dlc

I spent 29 hours on the demo and about 9 hours on full game. But I want to buy DLC Joe's adventures. Looks awesome

Can't see the second trailer due to my bandwidth being f*cked, but based on the positivity of that gamesradar preview it can be assumed this is shaping up to be a damn good add-on, am I right?

 

800 MS points isn't much to gamble on taking a chance with this anyway. I think I might wait until some of the reviews I read on here before I go ahead and go to the trouble of getting the points though.

I am still playing the demo. I dont even own Mafia 2 yet. Bought Sims 3 recently.

 

I play the demo often while downloading other demos/addons to kill the download time.

If GTA IV works decently, this should work. It's way less demanding than IV from what I understand. The only sucky aspect is the shortness and that there's no free roam, which I can't really understand why.

Claude Speed. is it short? Aw, this is awful And I don't understand it too, free roam makes any game better! And the city is very small, right? I like big maps, but I have my exceptions, for example, my favorite city in GTA is Liberty City from GTA III. But the graphics are awesome and I like mafia stories. But I think I'll not waste my money on it, if it is short.

It's about half as short as GTA IV, or even shorter. Some missions suck, like once where you have to take your friend Joe home from a bar (why the hell is that a mission in a mafia style game?). Another thing that I found annoying is that you always need to drive home after a mission and even GO TO BED! What the f*ck is the point to that if there is no safe house saving like in GTA games and no free roam?

Also, if you buy it for the PS3 you can download two free DLCs, but don't expect much. Like most things that are free, they are half-assed. There's almost no cutscenes during the story of the DLCs and I think you finally get to free roam, but I really think that should have been part of the main game.

I completed GTA IV 100% within 5 months, so if I complete Mafia 2 within 2.5 months it won't be bad I didn't know about that save thing. This is kind of stupid. But is the storyline very good? Because I love storylines. Is the game hard? I don't like games which are too hard.

Yeah, normally I am that hardcore-shooter gamer but I also play the Sims. Played it from the first game, have most of the expansion packs.

OT: But isn´t Mafia 2 still a free roam game? I know no side quests and the city is not as alive as IV but the city still looks detailed in the demo.

It's actually pretty easy, though you'll find yourself needing to stay in cover most of the time because you'll get cut down by enemies otherwise. There are three difficulty levels you can pick from - Easy, Medium & Hard. Hard is pretty easy. The only time I got into difficulty was during the final chapter.

ive finished the game on hard, and yeah it was pretty easy, like Tyla said, you would need to stay mostly in cover because about 2-4 hits kill ya.

2,5 months? Most people complete Mafia 2 within 10 hours

But Joe's Adventures looks like there will be more hours to play, even there is only 10 chapters but the side missions etc...

2,5 months? Most people complete Mafia 2 within 10 hours

 

I think she means play 30 minutes each day and that way it would take around 2 months to complete 100%. Some people play like that, so their games last, not do all in 10 hours, then be bored until something new comes out.

I played Mafia II for like an hour every day since it came out, I finished the 15 chapters in 2 or 3 weeks, I think. It was very entertaining but it was indeed kinda short. Hopefully Joe's Adventures will bring more fun.

Buy Mafia 1. It's a lot better than Mafia 2. It's older, like GTA3 but it's so good you wont even notice how old it is.
