i have steam from 2007, never hand a single problem...

so if you want to play mafia 2, then download steam.

I have written it already, it is about privacy infingement. You may be ready to submit to the big brother's wishes, I am not. I mean, what's next, will thay need a sample of my blood to track my DNA, so they can be sure it is me? I just want to buy a game, I am wiling to pay for it, what is theirs problem...

i don't see what data can they track which crosses 'your' privacy, they take all game information, nothing about your home location, your family, porn sites you entered.

Anyway, I am really happy they removed that achievement for Not killing more than 20 civvies. As that will now allow me to play the game at my own pace rather than rush it. Stupid sh*t like that wreck games. Like the spurred to victory achievement from RDR. And the 30 or so hours for story in GTA4. It is making you waste your game away. It forces you to play a certain way that you would not normally do. You should NEVER have to replay any free roam game on another save to get another achievement. It should all be able to be done on the same save.

Yeah that kinda sucked. When I got GTA4 I decided from the off I wasn't gonna be forced into rushing through the story but having to play it again to get that achievement was annoying.

 

Don't want to open a different debate but I find achievements annoying in general...

I heard from a site writing an early review that the game is 10 hours. Way too short for a big game like this. It'd be disapointing if true, not too mention there's no side activities or anything so once you complete the game you're done. They could have least got to GTA status to 40 hours. For 60 bucks pre-order I don't think Mafia 2 is really worth it.

Also does anyone know if you will have some sort of collection display in your home for those magazines you find? Or some way to view them all in a gallery. Because if not thats pretty pointless and cheap.

I contacted 2K Czech and they said something like "There should be an option in the main menu to view the gallery"

All I need is 5 minutes and I'll give everyone your address and phone number. Internet is not so anonymous as you think. And Steam is not violating anyone's rights. They are not sending your personal data, they are not tracking you they track the game. And besides, no one gives a sh*t how you play the game. Steam does that as a favor to you so you could see your stats. They don't give a f*ck.

i got the game today,can say it much much much better than GTA IV.the story is similar to Mafia 1 but this one is interesting,gameplay still have some stupid bug in the demo,but don't worry because you still can play the game without smash your keyboard,console.i love the music in game,radio station soundtrack remind me a lot of dumb great classic song my parent heard since i'm a kid.i just done chapter 2 and for now i'm going to find some Playboy magazine

Yeah the game is leaked, came across some gameplay videos on youtube. The first mission looks pretty damn awesome, stopped after that since I don't want to spoil it. Oh well, only 4 days left till the game is in the stores

in fact Mafia 2 was canceled since 2004,2K said their game is hard to complete and can't be good to beat another game(there are a lot of kick ass game since that day)

but lucky enough they change their mind and make thing better

i wonder if mafia 2 had tons of stages of development like Duke Nukem Forever, i was waiting for over 6 years for a sequel, wishing one day i'd see a trailer titled "Mafia 2" and when i saw the first one i was f*cking shocked! i hope i wont be dissapointed like i was with Kane and Lynch 2, the game has 15 chapters, i wonder how many missions in each, because Mafia 1 was damn long! if this game is shorter it would be such a bummer!

i just cant wait to play it already.

Damn the first Mafia ending of those two goons definitely looked like early versions of Vito and Henry. I liked the way they kept everything the same in the scene, like the camera angles and the expression of Tommy after realizing he has been shot.
