After some research, the game has in fact been leaked. I'd post a link, but I know warez isn't tolerated.

Demo is released + full game is leaked. 1 + 1 = ???

In short: if you want to play missions and explore the fulll map, no need for a crack... (atleast, if you play on PC).

You hate STEAM because it's spyware... sure thing. Also if you hated STEAM that much you'd already figured out the alternatives by now.

I didn't do it for HL2, I will not do it for Mafia 2.

I want to give my money for this game, I really do. How I can do it without installing spyware on my PC.

BTW, sorry, I just found out about ithis Steam only thing while trying to download the demo and had to let off some... err... steam. It won't happen again.

How in the f*ck is Steam a spyware?

Steam sends back information about your system to the Valve, including the details of your gaming experiences, such as how long you have been playing, how long it took you to beat the games, and even how often you died on the any map. And who knows what else they are spying on...

If you're afraid that people track what you do (or have the possibility to do so), you shouldn't be playing videogames online, you shouldn't register on internet fora and you shouldn't be using internet in the first place...

So, yeah...

So, yeah...

It is not about being afraid, it is infringement of privacy.

Usually I can block (in firewall) programs that, in my oppinion, don't have the need to connect through the internet.

Also, as I had heard, Valve can block all the games you purchased on the drop of the hat. And never explain why they blocked your account. It had happend to my friend.

They can do it if you agree to it. Otherwise just untick 'send anonymous user statistics' in options. sarcasm.gif

Correct. They CAN, but they aren't going to choose random people and just ban their account for no reason. You could probably sue them for that. suicidal.gif

Sunrise Driver

When Steam was collecting software data, I (and probably others) wasn't informed, I wasn't asked. It just interrupted into my PC and collected my software data.

Now I'm thinking that Kaspersky was right.

Otherwise just untick 'send anonymous user statistics' in options.

Where is it?

Do you really not see a diference?

Why I have to send out my private data while playing single player game? I find multiplayers rather boring, by the way, just mindless killing of everything around, over and over again.

why do you care if steam is 'collecting data', are you hiding from law enforcement?

i have steam from 2007, never hand a single problem...

so if you want to play mafia 2, then download steam.

From what my friend have told me, they do choose people at random.

The only answer he got was that he agreed to such a treatment by checking the conditions in the EULA, while instaling the games. If he didnt agreed, he would be not able to install it.

I'd bet your friend had a reason to get his account blocked, I mean, why would they block a random account for no reason? That's not good marketing...

And anyways, even if they did that (wich they don't) your friend would be the one in a million case... I don't see what would you want to hide from Steam anyways, it's not like they get over your computer or anything...

Damnit... I knew I should payed more attention to this game, it looks so awesome...

Just preordered mine, cba paying an extra £15 for the Collector's Edition with not much in it so I got the Special Edition with Made Man and Greaser packs and map. Not too bad I guess.

Can't wait to wear this suit from the preorder DLC:

apparently the DLC content is already ingame... so pre-ordering it wont matter. the ruskies that cracked mafia 2 found out that the dlc was already inside.

In other words I have this pesky feeling that we have to pay in order to unlock the 'hidden content'... they'll come up with 'DLC' shortly after release.

I guess the same thing they've done with Kane and Lynch 2... and most other games. They should quit doing that. Total dickmove and f*ckING lame. We pay for a game and it's content yet again we have to pay even more in order to UNLOCK the content that is on the disc, for a game we already paid the full price for...

What is the point in even looking in here for Mafia 2 info, when everyone is just yapping about PC specs and Steam.

I mean come on. Its completely pointless to be in here. Put it in PC chat for f*ck sake.

Anyway, I am really happy they removed that achievement for Not killing more than 20 civvies. As that will now allow me to play the game at my own pace rather than rush it. Stupid sh*t like that wreck games. Like the spurred to victory achievement from RDR. And the 30 or so hours for story in GTA4. It is making you waste your game away. It forces you to play a certain way that you would not normally do. You should NEVER have to replay any free roam game on another save to get another achievement. It should all be able to be done on the same save.

Also does anyone know if you will have some sort of collection display in your home for those magazines you find? Or some way to view them all in a gallery. Because if not thats pretty pointless and cheap.

Also yes, this DLC sh*t is bullsh*t. Planned dlc created after release for legit download, I am fine with. I hate this sh*t where they are basically just stealing from you and trying to sell the stuff back to you. If we had any sort of ability to edit the game on consoles we could just find a away to unlock it ourselves. So how is that right.

I have written it already, it is about privacy infingement. You may be ready to submit to the big brother's wishes, I am not. I mean, what's next, will thay need a sample of my blood to track my DNA, so they can be sure it is me? I just want to buy a game, I am wiling to pay for it, what is theirs rampage_ani.gif problem...
