Hey everyone, I was undesperate enough to ask Geoff Keigley from Game Trailers TV if they plan to feature Mafia II in their show and surprisingly, he answered me via Twitter!

What he answered was that GTTV is featuring Mafia II very soon and, hold your breath ... they are bringing us a first Mafia II gameplay footage ever!

So ... keep checking Spike TV or GameTrailers.com in upcoming weeks.

Please, be so kind and when using this information at your fansites or other wbsites, try to link http://twitter.com/mafiagame_cz :-). Thanks.

It's said to be 10 square miles and SA is 13.9 square miles. GTA IV is 3/4 the size of San Andreas which is about 10.5 square miles, so it is about as large as GTA IV's map.

But there's gonna be a vertical aspect too, cars are slower and the game is "closer". Dunno how to explain. Lost Heaven wasn't that big, but it felt big.

Actually, I think only the city was that size, you forgot about the country side, but yeah the speed of movement does make a difference.

Well that's why I said deceivingly. And damn, why did I think it was Haven? Hm, I honestly like Haven better than Heaven.

Were you playing MGS4. In the MGS series there is a place called Outer Haven. Also, the city is not that big in the first Mafia (slower vehicles make it seem larger I'm sure), but the countryside is huge. I never played the first one though as it was more of a PC game, and the PS2 version got sh*t reviews so I wouldn't know if it would be worth getting for PS2. The city was 4.06 square miles (a little bit more than 0.5 square miles larger than VC) while the countryside was about 30-40 square kilometers (which is about 18.63-24.84 square miles, which is larger than SA).

I can't f*cking wait for this game, the 1st one was a masterpiece. The only problem that is going to be seemingly fixed in this installment is the unrealistic nature of the 1st. About 90% of the things done in Mafia 1 would never be done by a real ife Mafiosi.

I love how they are going with a much more dark and gritty and realistic story, this game is going to rape faces and it wouldn't surprise me if it outdid GTA IV.

GTA 4 went away from the mafia too much because Niko isn't really a part of it and never does anything with his life. the game ends and he's still poor and owns nothing

I am looking forward to Mafia II, I already pre-ordered it at GameStop.

and I already paid for Godfather 2 which comes out in 4 days

Can somebody sum up what makes Mafia II so irresistible? I'm planning on getting Godfather II, but have heard mixed reviews about that game. If this one is so much better; I may just wait for this one to come out instead.

It's just so much more realistic, instead of huge skirmishes where its you + 3 other guys vs. 40 pissed-off rival henchmen, it's you and maybe one or two other people having small fire fights. You get given a car to drive around that you can pimp out and customize, theres traffic laws and stuff... Ugh, its just gonna rule.

Basically because I can't stop orgasming over this I'll just sum it up;

GF2 = GTA 4 minus graphics - realism + businesses + storyline revolving around the Corleones

Mafia 2 = GTA 4 + more realism

Don Garcia aka NjNakedSnake

Dude, Mafia was flat-out great. A game of the realistic quality that GTA has just now ventured into with IV. Pretty much the only highly-successful, well-known title to accurately, if not a little exaggerated, portray the mafia/crime scene of the 30s.

Amazing cutscenes coupled with great dialogue and voice-acting make this thing stand out. The missions were very entertaining, and the overall experience real cinematic. One of the best games I've ever played. The whole bank job set up, including just walking around it, "casing the joint", was spectacular. More realistic than anything similar in a GTA game.

I havent played Mafia in years but I still have lots of fond memories. It was fantastic, the only bad bit was that ridiculous tacked on racing segment where you had to go ten laps (I think it was 10) in a 30's race car...but other than that one bit it was brilliant...

I can't wait for Mafia II...
