I frequent the Writer's Discussion a lot, and I have two stories out right now. Here they are: The Cipriani/Leone War The Confessions of a Hitman I would just like to know what the story is going to be about. Is it going to be a GTA IV fan fiction, a different GTA fan fiction, or a completely new story? If it's one of last two, I could give a few suggestions if no one's thought up any yet. Write you bits of story such that they are similar to the storyline of previous GTA games. That does not mean that you must copy from previous GTAs. Continue the story from where the previous writer left off. Do not contradict any previous post. Stick to the facts that we already know. Do not kill characters prematurely. Do not introduce characters prematurely. Do not twist the tale too much. Please quote the last line from the previous post so that confusion is avoided and there is a sense of continuity. To avoid your post getting wasted (Situations where you say 'SH*T! TOO LATE!') you can reserve a post by posting 'RESERVED' or "I'm gonna write the next bit". You can then edit the post and write your bit of the story. Anyone who reads the post will know that you are working on it and will wait till you are done. Please take only 5-10 minutes in writing your bit of the story. If you change your mind after reserving your post, please edit your post immediately saying that you are skipping this post. Please read the GTAF Writing Guide if you're new to writing or have any doubts. Its very informative. I wrote this based on my experience in the previous thread. I hope this will avoid any confusion. @Vercetti21 : Sorry, this might sound a bit bossy. I liked that previous thread. I just don't want the new thread to be screwed up like the old one. And no need to apologize to those of you who are helping explain the rules a little better. Seeing as how I can't be on here all the time it's nice to see that other members are helping out. EDIT: I just thought of the idea of posting the thread in the "Writer's Discussion" forum. I think it would be a good way to keep most spammers out as it seems that it is mostly writers who visit that forum. Which would make sense, considering it's a writer's forum! The first thread was off the cuff and spontaneous, but if you're going to take it this seriously, it should be in Writer's Discussion and not IV where it'll more than likely be subjected to assorted gremlins. I have a idea for this topic. Writing it this way is f*cked up someone can take the plot and completely f*ck it up for everyone by taking it in a different direction then every one has to follow. Why not try to get a mod to lock this topic and start a new one. Except in the new one everybody can write a mission from anywhere in in the story line. That way everybody can write whatever they want instead of having to follow one storyline. If you do that everybody please be more creative and make up your own sh*t. Instead of using the little information there is instead of killing of the same character. I post in the writers discussion forum and here is a sample of my writing but I have gotten better then that. Good idea Btw.
