Throughout the game Catalina calls you and says dumb things to CJ. One time she calls she was ment to actually call Claude, but called CJ instead. Claude isn't a mute to talk on the phone. He can't make sound effects in the background and have conversations with Claude unless he had a voice. Catalina also knows the his name is Claude. He must've told her! Claude, a mute? No. My opinion, he chooses not to talk. Maybe, just maybe it's a video phone and Claude uses sign language! mod it with Nitrous Oxide and chassis dyno. Yes he was the main character in Liberty City ( GTA III not stories ). He didn't talk.... kill her in my iller Posted August 20, 2007 Share Posted August 20, 2007 I'm pretty sure in the GTA2 movie his lips move, and in San Andreas you see him talking to other people in the back ground, on the phone to chatterbox maria says "i like this guy but he don't talk MUCH so i don't know if he's serious" but then again CJ calls him a mute when he had no clue he wasn't around him for more than 40 seconds,so that's a pretty strong message from R* that he is a mute but everything else...omg this is gonna keep me up. They were kings of the world.So in 1992, they love each other like the pope likes goats, and in 2003, 9 yrs later Catalina shot her love bird in the throat. So in the throat maybe Claude is mute. And remeber in GTA 3 he would go to a payphone and pick it up and someone would say his missions? Then maybe he would press a number on the phone to say yes or no. Claude is actually mute because he didnt talk in GTA 3 n'or in SA. But remeber Catalina says he will win to get a ticket to Liberty city during the first race or so? You won the race so they are pissed, so they they maybe rob to get that money fot that ticket, but it goes all wrong when they arrive at Libery Ctiy. So i think there was something that happened before that race. Or maybe he just wanted not to talk. This seems a bit long and useless. Really this topic IS useless. But hey, some dude wants info, we gonna help but how can we help by asking a mute guy 'hey can you talk'? Thats stupid, lock this tread or something Lol. drozle Posted August 22, 2007 Share Posted August 22, 2007 Maybye it is offreply to your discussion here...But I have readed someone sayed sw him in SA talking with others,and I thouth that GTA 3 was 9 years later than SA...So he could talk in SA.Now,when you wach GTA 3 first cut-scene he was shot by Catalina...so maybye she shot at his neck or somethin' so he can't breath and can't run and take money from that"Crazy Bith!".I guess medics couldn't estabilish his voice,so he IS NOT mute in SA,but he IS mute in gta 3.But when he fall from building or get shot he grunts.So maybye it hurts his neck when he talks so he perfers(can't spell that damn word) to don't talk.So maybye he is not mute...
