A fellow member advised I should post my problem on here, for more advice. The problem is when im playing my game, the quality isnt as good as I want, so I higher the resolution & put my Graphic Settings at Max. But when I try to play my game it's so "laggy" that I can't even play. Im looking for some advice, since im real new to learning about Graphics Cards & so on. I'm looking for a Graphics card to suite my computer, but I really dont know which one I should get. This is the type of Graphics I am looking for: This is the type of quality I have now: Price Range: I looking for a great Graphics Card in the $190-$390 price range if possible. XMike
Does your motherboard support AGP or PCIe? We need to know this before we can recommend a card.
just another thug
Memory: 382MB Ram That kind of stuck out at me. That's really low.

XMike
Well, with $390 you could get a 8800 GTS, thing is it'll probably bottleneck in your system. I'd suggest getting another gig or so of ram and then see what kind of GFX cards you can buy.
Fozzy Fozborne
By mobile AMD Athlon 64 3400+ do you mean you're running a laptop, or do you have some sort of desktop that, for whatever reason, is running a mobile processor? If it's a laptop, then in almost all cases you can only upgrade your RAM. I'd suggest you get a gig of RAM and remove the other RAM that's in your machine now. If it's a desktop, then get a 7600GT which are around $75-100 USD and will easily run San-An at max settings. Then get a gig of RAM and remove whatever RAM you have in your PC now. Ruthless Killa
Would any of these be able to run on my comp, with great performance. I see a Geforce 7600 GS, but not a GT http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?_d...es&nrp=15&iht=n
Fozzy Fozborne
Here is a list of some 7600GTs. They're available from $75 to $110. I'd say go for one of the evga cards (the more expensive one is slightly better and only $5 more. I've have that in my brother's computer for about a year now with no problem. Now, get a One GB stick of RAM and take out your old RAM. You should notice your computer as way more responsive. Fozzy Fozborne
Oh crap, I assumed you built your PC yourself, which is never a good thing. Make sure your motherboard supports DDR-400 RAM and if you didn't build it yourself (if it's dell or gateway or HP or similar) open up your PC, ground yourself by touching something metal inside that isn't a circuitboard, then look at your current RAM and see what speed it is. Also if you built it yourself, post your motherboard manufacturer and model.
K^2
Oh crap, I assumed you built your PC yourself, which is never a good thing. Eh? So you think paying 30% over the price of parts for a poorly optimized system is better? Or were you trying to say something completely different than what came out? Prior to filing a bug against any of my code, please consider this response to common concerns.

I'm pretty sure he knows custom built systems are much better than pre-built.
Fozzy Fozborne
Primer is correct... I own 2 PCs I built myself, I know just how much cheaper it is... saved $3000 on this computer compared to the similar Dell.
K^2
Heh. That makes a lot more sense. Prior to filing a bug against any of my code, please consider this response to common concerns.
