damian001
For some reason, my game is having a graphical problem. I can see all other icons fine, but I can't see any hidden packages. They still function, but they're invisible. Does anyone have a fix for this? Thanks. VCHolmes
Do you have any mods installed? Perhaps you could try reinstalling the game?
Ring_of_Fire
Maybe because you got 'em all? If not, then update graphics card drivers, delete [.set] file, and set the compatibility of the game to 98/XP. Also, you might want to try and download the v1.1 patch. But then again, looks like the bugfix list explained what was the obvious solution already... Edited August 7, 2007 by Ring_of_Fire
damian001
Oh my god, I feel like I'm the biggest idiot in this world. I've been modding Vice City for almost 4 years and I thought this problem would've never happened to me. I thought I renamed the hidden package texture/model back to its default "package1.txd and package1.dff" but for some reason, it stayed to package1-old.txd and package1-old.dff It turns out even after the reinstall, it still kept those filenames until I manually changed them again using the IMG Tool. Sorry guys for wasting your time In shorter words: I'm an idiot and problem's fixed.
Ring_of_Fire
That's why I am the one to recommend people to delete "C:\Program Files\Rockstar Games\San Andreas" after every uninstallation - which is also why uninstalling is more preferable than reinstalling. Justin
This is why we ask for all users to ensure their game is mod free before posting a troubleshooting topic. Glad you got it sorted.

jnzooger
Sometimes uninstallers don't remove modified files. In this case, the installer could think it doesn't need to replace the file that is already there. That would explain this situation.
