Not because he steals jokes or because he offends me, but because he is unfunny and annoying.What's even sadder is he thinks his show is intelligent and edgy. Stolen, generic, racial jokes will never be intelligent or innovative. Anyways, while I was flipping though the channels, I noticed he was making fun of GTA. This kinda reminded me of Dave Chappelle's Vice City parody, so I decided to watch the rest. I soon regretted that. It was the dumbest skit, I had ever seen in my entire life. Seriously, does this guy have any fans? If so, he is the embodiment of dumbed-down retardism in America. Which leads me to my hypothesis: If you enjoy watching Mind of Mencia, you hate comedy. In case you want an example of how banal, obvious, and immature his jokes are. Here's his Comedy Central website Please don't watch this show. It needs to be canceled. I think most of us can comprehend without the red, mang. I do agree that his show is pathetic and all of that. What I like about the show is that he tries to enlighten his audience by slipping in educational tidbits at the end of some of his skits, like how it's racism is all right as long as it's equal and sh*t. Glycerine Posted August 7, 2007 Share Posted August 7, 2007 I did like the show at first. I thought it was funny, but I did realize that he was stealing alot of jokes off of other people. He also began to tell jokes that I heard when I was around 6 yrs. old. His shows now he just talks about the same things. The war, gays, blacks, whites, hispanics, asians, and other shows that he thinks he can make fun of. If he can come up with something differnt to talk about I might give it another chance. Saggy Posted August 7, 2007 Share Posted August 7, 2007 I watched a stand-up of his years back that I thought was pretty funny; though, the next stand-up was a carbon copy of the last, and the man hasn't produced an original bit of comedy since; the originality of his first act is questionable anyway. Long story short I don't know why anybody really cares all that much. Comedy central seemed like they were still looking for another Dave Chappelle replacement in the form of a minority, racially-charged, sketch-show-host. I don't really have many opinions on the show. The majority of the jokes are ridiculous, and the punchlines to the sketches are so easy to guess that actually watching the show is boring. Maybe if he had half the charisma Dave Chappelle had he could cut it, but unfortunately without good material or a good stage presence, watching that show is like torture. Man, that Mencia vs. Rogan was funny. I didn't even know Joe Rogan was a comedian. I thought he just hosted Fear Factor. Anyway, I watch Mencia's show sometimes. Some of the stuff is funny. But he is a bit annoying and he laughs at his own jokes. He's not nearly as talented as Dave Chappelle or the writers of The Colbert Report. He laughs at his own jokes, and runs around like someone with ADHD would on a sugar binge. His jokes lack any bearing or meaning, and are so obvious, I could preemptively guess them while in a coma. I recently saw a commercial for an upcoming episode, and it had him screaming at a fat black man for not knowing the price of a refrigerator. Everyone knows fat people don't know the prices of refrigerator, this is absurd in the most immature way possible. It is like a 5th grader joke, except less clever. He will probably ask a Chinese lady the price of a calculator next, and say, "you don't know the price of a calculator, but you're CHINESE", and all the mongoloids in the audience will laugh like they've never laughed before.
