The Da Nang Thang (PC Version)

Hi,

 

I'm having a bit of a problem on my latest playthrough of San Andreas that I didn't experience the first time around on my old PC.

 

Basically, every time I kill Snakehead, and go to jump the fence to get to the refugees, I die. I mount the fence outside the bridge, and then hear the sickening crunch as if I've fallen too far, and die. This has happened over ten times now, at all places in the fence, and with "baguvix" cheat activated. I'm at my wits end now, I can play the mission with my eyes closed, but this ALWAYS happens.

 

I searched Google for hours, but can't find any reference to this at all. I hope someone out there can help me.

I had a similar thing happen when I tried to make CJ jump over the small wall on Sweet's roof (to get the Tec 9). I quit the game & then reloaded it & it didn't happen again. Have you tried to quit to the Desktop & then restart San Andreas? It might help. If you have tried that, you could post your save at gtasnp.com & someone here could have a look at it.

Ok, well I just tried from an earlier save, and it's still doing the same thing.

 

So wierd.. I've seen no mention of this anywhere else, yet it does it without fail! Maybe it's my rig, I'm using all the settings maxed out.. God knows. If anyone can do the mission from that save, I'd be grateful to know.

I tried your save & I'm sorry to say that it happened to me also but it was right after jumping the fence, I jumped on a brown box to climb up the large boxes & that's when it happened, just like you described above.

Thanks for the help though, at least I know there must be something dodgy in my gamefiles, much appreciated.

 

EDIT: I think I'm going to try spawning a jetpack!

Hi all,

I have the exact same problem. First mission attempt I died climbing onto a box AFTER the fence, but now everytime I try the first jump over the fence after snakehead, it kills me. I have tried numerous different saved games and they are all the same... I die on fence. Only solution that worked was, like you suggested, spawning a jetpack, but this is a cheat.

 

Has anyone else had this issue or solved it?

 

Did you get it working Sle?

 

I'm using version 1, and the only 'mod' installed is SA_MP.
