Aussie44
I Treid to search for something like this and had no results so i figured why not make a post? I have been trying to mod this Chevy Caprice skin ( I know it is not mine i am going to mod it privately and not release it.) The tool i am using is the "Txdworkshop" and i have been trying to edit the skin which is turning out to be painful... http://img504.imageshack.us/img504/8067/untitled1yg7.jpg I export the original to photoshop edit it and try to put it back in with BMP, i have attempted to do it the template way but that does not work either. There seems to be a lot of things to fiddle with such as mipmap and compressing... i'm not sure! I am just looking for the most simple way to mod vehicle skins. Any help appreciated! Thanks -Aussie
Daalyman05
Best way to avoid this is to import your textures as .bmp format. Some graphic programs do not always save the .tga format correctly, so you get this type of result in txdworkshop. Good luck.

DexX
The tool i am using is the "Txdworkshop" It looks like you're using an older version. Get the newest version from gtatools.com. There seems to be a lot of things to fiddle with such as mipmap and compressing... i'm not sure! If the image has an alpha channel, use dxt3 compression. if it doesn't, use dxt 1. Keep "mipmaps" at 1. Pay attention to the settings the other images in the txd are using. Another reason to use the most recent version of the program - all those extra options, the checkboxes on the right, are now hidden. Best way to avoid this is to import your texturesas .bmp format. Some graphic programs do not always save the .tga format correctly Photoshop saves targa images just fine.

Gforce
i have a problem with texturing when im done with my textures of the NRG-500 and install ingame my NRG-500 dissapeers and never comes back until i unistalled it can someone help me plz?? there is an odd bug in TXDWS that sometimes causes the vehicle/model to be invisible/not there ingame, it can be worked around by saving the txd as gta3 then save as VC then save as SA, this bug is fairly well known but little has been documented on it.
