Mister Pink
I like Neil Young. (He's Canadian too, Murdoc ) He's not strictly Country. He does everything. Harvest Moon is 90% Country though. It's a great album. I reccomend it to anyone. Especially those not so interested in Country that much like myself. I like the Country style Beck songs too, like Lord Only Knows etc. RUBBΣR░J♢HNNY (スオッ)
*MURDOC*
Beck does some great counrtyesque tunes, hes very versatile. And Neil Young, is f*cking wonderful! Hes a rock/country/folk hero! Also very versatile, and immensely talented, i listen to harvest moon everyday at work, and it never gets old, great album. Seriously, one of my favorite artists. -shaDow
A lot of alt-country sh*t like Uncle Tupelo, Songs: Ohia, Bonnie 'Prince' Billy (any Oldham), and Smog can be great at times and should not be overlooked by anyone. And Cash/Young are of course unf*ckwithable.

With a name like Sacha Baron Cohen, any Jewish person who actually did get offended should be smacked around a bit.

I particularly like the album Welcome Home, Loser. But yes, Cash and the other greats really represent the peak of traditional country. Nowadays, it's too easy for any pop singer to wear a cowboy hat, slap a guitar twang on a song and sell it as country.
