Justin
The GTA Series forums are for unedited copies of the GTA games. We have an entire modding sub-forum, which is where I'll move this now. Moved from VC PC Chat to Editing Discussion -> Troubleshooting.
SteaVor
There's no file called mario.img supplied with the mod? The archive marioplayer.zip contains readme.txt, mario.bmp and player.dff. The player.dff is supposed to go into VC's GTA3.img which is accompanied by an identically named DIR file and can thus be opened by any IMG editor, so I don't really know what you're talking about. DexterDude
There is, its just i'm really confused.... I've never really used that IMG tool before, and when i click on Mario.IMG it will say something about the DIR image, and I think its meant to be a bmp, help appreciated... I'm hopeless w/out it
SteaVor
Which files do you have extracted from the mods' archive? It should be the three ones that I mentioned in my last post, same extension etc. There is no file called mario.img, there's only GTA3.IMG inside the 'models' directory of your VC installation. SteaVor
Then you have to uncheck the read-only box for those files (gta3.img and gta3.dir).

PsycoGta
I'm using IMG Tool 2.0, if thats what you mean by "Which program"If not, player.dff is buggerring me fun! thats what happens i found a very useful tool called dirmanager, i found it easier than Img tool (The link can be found during the video). Anyway you can see a vid of a vehicle modification, but its the same thing with the player models and easier to use. cheers http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5CA77x0CndM
