Um yeah i just updated my nvidia driver to 93.71

(lastest for my card) Nvidia Geforce 5600+ Plus. 128MB

But when i do that i cant use antialiasing. and if i try the graphics show up with non textures and no visual effects.

Just the 3D pixel lines. But when i degrade the driver i can use antialiasing but i also have other problems with other games etc..

my pc: 2.9GHz AMD Athlon 3000+

RAM: 2GB

Disk Space: 256GB

Card: Nvidia GF 5600 Ultra FX

Direct x: 9.0c (updated)

And when it turn antialiasing off before i could never spot the jagged edges like i can now.

can anyone help

Any reason why you don't want to use San Andreas' AA options in the Display menu? Level 3 looks beautiful!

For a graphics card that don't support DX 9.0c, I think setting the AA in ForceWare to more than 3x will just lag up your game.

Probably because you installed the driver separate w/o ForceWare control panel. You need to install both. Assuming you use Windows XP 32-bit, did you get the latest driver here? http://www.nvidia.com/object/winxp_2k_162.18.html

All the latest FW releases have an anti-aliasing option -> http://www.tweakguides.com/NVFORCE_1.html

It's all here: http://www.tweakguides.com/NVFORCE_6.html

But if you think AA set to Level 3 alone is laggy, don't you think you will have to significantly reduce the AA/AF in ForceWare as well? I think what you are looking for is a GeForce 8800 or a Radeon HD graphics card - simply buy a new one just to achieve faster framerates. You'll be happy that you did!

i dont have the time nor the money to go out and buy a brand new card just for 1 game.

Besides all i want is to set the antialiasing on 1 or 2.

Because 2 has the same qualities of 3 and it doesnt lag.

But i upgraded to that driver. Its the same thing. I will show u screen shots later when i re edit this

I noticed only old drivers let u use antialiasing 1 and 2.

but new ones ONLY let u use 3. ill work on this

If you have Level 3 AA in San Andreas, it will allow you to use 1/2 since your graphics card obviously supports it. I have Radeon X1950 with latest Catalyst drivers and I can use all the AA settings.

Did you uninstall previous drivers in Add/Remove Programs first? Make sure to delete [.set] file when you are through.

Remember that you can tweak the draw distance/resolution/texture quality as well. This will help you to know which anti-aliasing mode is ideal!
