Unique Jump Trouble

On the unique jump above Jizzy's club you have to drive off the scaffolding into the water. But whenever I get to the end of the plank I seem to crash into an invisible wall and I fall off my bike. What's going on?

no and no.

Then that's really strange.

Try using other kind of bikes like dirtbikes or PCG-600.

if you're hitting something maybe it's just part of the bridge..never heard of an invisible wall up there...

Have you unlocked the land beyond the bridge? That is, is the bridge still blocked by road blocks to prevent you from entering the Desert/Las Venturas island?

 

Edit: Just to make sure we're on the same page, you try to do the jump like this, right?

I've done it with all kinds of bike but the same result happens each time.

 

Major underscore - yeah that is the right jump and no, I haven't unlocked the desert/Las Venturas yet. I suppose I could be hitting one of the blockades from the bridge.

Yeah, you cannot do this jump before unlocking the desert. As a matter of fact, it's the only jump you can't do at the beagining of the game.

Out of the 70 Unique Jumps, 69 of them can be done from the very beginning of the game; as others have been saying here (such as Pomor), the Gant Bridge jump cannot be done until the Desert becomes unlocked.

The same goes for the minigun on top of the Railroad Bridge close to the San Fierro shore, there’s also an invisible barrier there, which prevents you from getting it.

 

The really funny thing is, that you can land a helicopter on the Barrier(s), and appear to be walking around on nothing.

 

The really annoying part is, when you try flying around and crash, explode, and get wasted; all because you can’t see them. VERY VERY FRUSTRATING!

OT>The thing is it is much easier to just wait until the area is open and get the rest in the mean time and just make a note to get it later. It can be done but it is very difficult like a 8.2 on 1 to 10.
