raychurch456
Well I have been modding my vice city, for year now, and I have fuc*ed it up. How would I make the game back to normal, stock out of the box vice city not the fuc*ed up excuse that mine is????
92F
That last sentence lost me. To revert back to the original game, you'll need to un-install then re-install the game. Just be sure to make back-ups of everything you mod, to save having to re-install when something goes wrong.

92F
You could try that, aswell as removing the files via the control panel.

nosferatu5
Actually, all you have to do is just delete all of the files in the folder. Or install one more copy.

Have u ever had a f*cked up Pc and vice city and tied to uninstall it? when u have corupt files you cant move or delete them. We're supposed to be here to help each other out. Let's leave the name calling at home guys. And, yes, sometimes it's a real hassle trying to remove a file that doesn't feel like being moved. At times I've had files that have become corrupt or unusable, yet refused to be removed when I tried to delete them. Sometimes rebooting my computer would correct this (sometimes). The only other advice I have for you at the moment would be to use GTA Repair. It's a tool that will automatically create a back-up of all important files in your GTA install. If you're trying to mod your game and make a mistake that seems impossible to correct, all you have to do is press a button and everything goes back to the state of the last back-up. It works for VC and GTA3. Click here: >Repair GTA v1.0 English< Short DescriptionLittle tool to create backup and repair all files from Vice City or GTA 3 Later guys. Knowledge Novice
Well i have to say thank you for the gta repair download, but still no luck. I have found what the problem is, its a back-up file from Gta: mod installer v3.0 when i try to delete it it says, cannot delete file: Cannot read from teh sourse of file disc. how can i get rid of that file. I used programs like that when I first learned to mod because they seemed quite convenient, but I stopped because 1) I wanted to know how to do it myself (w/out a program doing all the work) and 2) Because I had trouble getting it to work at times. Unfortunately I don't have a solution for this problem. I'm not even sure if that program is supported by the author anymore. My only suggestion (if you cant' find info elsewhere) would be to contact the program's author to see if they can provide an answer. But like I said, some programs may be no longer supported. And that link works but when i download it it just gives me an internet link that brings me to the same download page.Hmmm. Once you reach the page just click the large yellow 'Download Now' button and that should do it. I just re-downloaded it a minute ago and I'm looking at the program as I write this. If you still have no luck there you could use Google to find another site that hosts the mod. It may take a little effort, but it's well worth it. One more piece of advice. Instead of using 'install programs' I'd suggest learning to 'manually' install mods. In the end I've found that it's a lot less hassle and also helps me better understand the way the game works. Either way good luck. I'll see ya later.
