thompson1106
I'm sorry to be the one to have to tell you this, because the same thing happened to me. But you're gonna have to get a new one. I actually had to call Rockstar Games because of it and they tried taking me through a whole series of steps to get it to work..and it didn't. The final conclusion was that your computer/laptop had been updated to a point where San Andreas can no longer run on it..let alone install. Sucks, huh? Sorry. Ring_of_Fire
Check the disc for errors by using CD-Check: http://www.kvipu.com/CDCheck/download.php You may have to also update your drivers for all of your system components, and have the latest Windows Updates. I JUST FOUND MY SAN ANDREAS Wow, most likely your disc gonna be damaged since it could be left on the ground all scratched up and dirty.

Ring_of_Fire
error;win32;Incorrect function. (code: 1) That normally represents damaged sectors on the disc (that's a similar error message CD-Check will give). Please use CD-CHECK. Once you install it, double-click the [.exe] and click on "Check CD". You will see where to go next. If it find errors along the way, click "Recovery" and if it fails to recover the file, then the disc had been physically damaged and cannot be repaired. like can someone give me the file and i just add it in? We aren't allowed to do that. Plus, if you got that file, you think you can just copy & paste it on the disc? And the installer has to complete the copying of the files onto the hard drive to 100% before you can even think about doing that. Ring_of_Fire
20% of missing files are a lot to give out. Nobody will do that. Use CD-Check for the last time?

Ring_of_Fire
Well: 1. Source files to recovers. Locate the file that's damaged 2. Output directory. (More info: Address - C:\Program Files\CDCheck\Help\recovery.html) Edited August 3, 2007 by Ring_of_Fire

Ring_of_Fire
Info is available here: http://www.kvipu.com/CDCheck/Help/recovery.html Note!- recovery is very slow because file is read multiple times sector by sector - if sector is marked unreadable that part of the output (recovered) file is filled with zeroes Warning!Because of sector by sector reading and multiple reading of the same sector during recovery this is stressing the drive very much and should be used with care. You might try your luck next time of fixing/reparing a disc split in half. If you looked carefully at your disc probably you would see a deep scratch called a "glass bend" that goes right through the disc - which indicates a cracked disc that CD-Check might not be able to recover. After partial installation of San Andreas... Source files to recover: E:\audio\STREAMS\CH\ Output directory: C:\SA recovery files (to be placed later in C:\Program Files\Rockstar Games\San Andreas) Continue >> If there are any files that are still missing and the game refuse to run, then use CD-Check to recover the missing files that the SA installation didn't do. BTW: I think what CD-Check meant by "recover" was to simply take away the file that was left on the disc, not to actually fix and decode a damaged sector. But I am not sure though... Vinnie
Well I suggest you read the rules before you start to post. Double posting? Whats wrong with the edit button?. And is your caps lock button stuck? Anyhow try installing without the radio & see what happens. Also try another Drive if you can.
