erbzzz
Allegedly an xbox power supply started a fire that burned down a families home, killing their baby. Microsoft is now being sued for wrongfull death. Link

matthew1g
like all console accidents, it wasn't the manufacturer's fault. It was the user's fault for not following the instructions. end of story. kthxbai
GTA3Freak-2001
If this happened after MS made the re-call on the power adapter then the parents obviously made a silly decision to ignore the recall and continue using the faulty power adapter. There's also the possibility that they were using it against MS's advice such as putting it on carpet, or shoving it in a badly ventilated cabinet etc. It's really hard to have an opinion when we don't have all the facts. matthew1g
A simple static discharge could cause damages. I had my PS1 blow up when I left it on the carpet running all day, but we had a little invention called fire extinushers aand no real damage was done. Like GTA3 said, we don't have all the facts so yeah, my bad
Creed Bratton
Wait, if you do something wrong the console will blow up? shiiiiiiiiiit If you don`t follow instructions everything on console becams like a self distruct button. At least on 360. Didn`t hear nothing like that for PS3, but there is still time. I will destroy my console by holding it on my stomac while playing lmao

I remember being taught this back in year 4, that was a fun day. It's strange though, because I'm sure I remember the scenario being a toaster next to the bath. Why someone would be making toast in their bathroom is the real question I'd be asking...
